I have 3 unknown strains in their flowering stages. Two are sativas and one is an indica. Beyond that, I have no idea what they are. They are 14 days into flowering. I'm using ffof with the organic tri packs (big bloom, grow big, tiger bloom) and the flowering tri-pack (open sesame, beastie bloomz, cha ching). During the alternate watering, I'm using 1 tsp of molasses, cocoa powder, and spirulina in a gallon of water, with no problems. What is the best way that I can harvest unknown strains? I know I'll start the flush, which i want to do 10-14 days before I harvest The problem is, I don't know WHEN i have to harvest since i don't know the strain I'm dealing with. I know I'll have to really look at trich colors; beyond that I'm really in the dark. This is my first grow too....
yea best and true way is the trichs i wouldnt trust anything else u want them at 50/50 milky and amber
ztc told me that too. So do i start the flush when they're 50/50? From that I wait 10-14 days to harvest. Is that correct?
no u begin the flush when the trichomes are milky, then u proceed to flush for 2 weeks, or until u see 50/50, and then you harvest.
the trich configuration is up to your preference/what the strain is best at, sativa gets stronger with more milky ones, indica gets heavier with amber ones, and so on... they're only tendencies, the strain itself dictates most of the effect... as long as there aren't too many/any clear ones left it's ok... the flush should take at least a week, two is better though
