Need Help from Old timers. White Widow Question!

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by ElendGold, Aug 5, 2008.

  1. Alright, probably tomorow or the day after I'm buying some white widow. It;s from a really good friend, and I'm sure he won't try to screw me, but I would still like to know what white widow looks and smells like.

I searched the forums and no clear pictures came up. Maybe a grower or someone who is used to that strain can help me out.

    Thanks,

    Elen.

P.S. (Getting 1/8 for 40$, "these are friendly prices" quoted Pulp Fiction)

  2. Thats actually a good price for some WW.
    Its smell is really easy.
It smells like complete dankness with a little bit of a fruity backup.
So be looking for just a tiny smell of fruit.
But the bag will smell really dank!

  3. Dude, good price for some legit widow...

  4. Greetings,

In 45 years I've never met a single living person who has been able to accurately decipher specific strain genetics, much less name by eyeing a cured bud.

A cured bud lacks many identifying qualities of the original kola, and making a reliable identification is next to impossible.

Always sample before you purchase. It's the only way to be sure of your product.

    Yours Truly,

  5. Yes, I thought someone would mention that. But I still wanted a good idea of how it smells or looks, at least a little bit.

    Elend.

    P.S. I'm also getting an O of mids for 50$ (Don't ask where I get it, but it's all legit ;) )

  6. greatest prices ever. if different strains can't be IDed by sight or smell how about taste? I know Jack has a distinct taste, kinda bitey, and kush has a distinct taste as well. Id agree the widow has the fruity "smell" but it def tastes a bit fruity too.

  7. I'm picking it up within a day or 2, I'll post some pictures, you guys can look for it in a while, tell me what you think.

High mids, 50$ for an O, I'm sorry but that is freakin' cheap. And we all know the quality we get in Canada, high mids is like dank for some port of the world!

  12. Because it's some White Widow ^^. It's extremely cheap.

  13. I agree with Sam : onces cured, it's hard to tell what bud belongs to what strain, unless it is something really obvious.

I've grown White Widow late last year. Got my seeds from the Hemp Shop in Verdun for something like 50 or 60$ CND. Out of my 10 seeds, 8 turned out to be female. I don't sell, so even though I gave quite a few small Ziplock bags to friends, I still have a lot of it left.

I'm a newbie grower (the White Widow was my first time) so I have no idea whether my White Widow looked as it would look if I had bought it from a seasoned grower. All in all it looked like a bunch of other strains, but it really was slightly whiter than most. The smell wasn't anything I remember specifically, other than the fact that it was strong enough, which surprised me because I was told it didn't have a very strong smell.

I guess you will see it when you smoke it because it is certainly as strong as advertised. I had a couple of friends with me the first 2 or 3 times I smoked it, but they weren't exactly regular smokers and they just refused to smoke it afterward because they thought it was just too strong. I've been smoked it daily for 6+ months now so tolerance has kicked in for me a long time ago.

Since then I've grown something called Super Afghani I think, which seems to be a cross between Afhgani #1 and Skunk. It hits smoother than the White Widow and the smell is more spicy/peppery.

I'm taking a break because it's too hot to use the HPS during summer, but later this year I'd like to grow some Jack Herer, or maybe one of the more exotic purple strains.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out for you :)

  14. Picking it up later tomorow, one question tho, does it look like what th3cre8r posted? Looks pretty accurate from the other pictures I saw.

  15. The WW from my first grow had a very piney scent to it once it was dried and cured.
