  1. so... i've recently been grounded for a week (look at my post yesterday, haha). so, i figured that it would be good to find some new music to listen to during this week. so please help me!
some of my favorite artists are late beatles, 70's pink floyd, jimi hendrix, cream/early eric clapton, i just listened to yes's album "fragile" and i really liked it, bob dylan, some grateful dead, phish when they're playing tightly, allman brothers, the band, some rolling stones, and the who.
some of my favorite albums are dark side of the moon, sgt peppers, are you experienced?, live cream vol 2, who's next?, a live one by phish, frampton comes alive!, europe '72 by the grateful dead, and highway 61 revisited.
so if anyone has any suggestions of some other bands that i havent listed, please feel free to do so. i'm looking for more 60s - 70s artists ive never heard, but new bands are also good! thanks!

  2. It is not hard to find music, all you gotta do is look. I wouldn't keep a narrow minded outlook on music either, as if searching for a certain type of genre or era, instead you should do your own research as to what you want to listen to because really there is nothing else like the bands you listed. If you got time on your hands to ask then you should also have time to to just look around. Good music is all around you

  5. pandora.com

  6. the doors, neil young, jose gonzalez, Ben Harper

  7. yea definitely the doors. listen to an american prayer or absolutely live. both are great. also, have you heard yes's close to the edge? its a good song/album.

  8. I would recommend:

    Isis (Metal/Instumental/Stoner Rock)
Of Montreal (A lot like Sgt. Peppers)
The Mars Volta (Crazy motherfucking shit, best band ever)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor (Post-Rock/Instrumental Truly Amazing Music)
    Pelican (Instrumental/Post-Rock/Metal)
Sigur Rós (Icelandic Post-Rock, I'm sure you've heard of these guys)
    Radiohead (nuff said)
    Sufjan Stevens (Folk/Tight music)
    Yndi Halda (Post-Rock)

http://wikipedia.org any band, and if you want me to PM me and I'll send you an album of whichever band you want to check out.
