Hi guy so I have a serious over watering problem. New notill net pots, 2 plants in150 liters of soil. 2 weeks into flowering, 1.5m * 3m tent. One plant had been showing signs for a couple of weeks but I only picked up last night that it was an overwatering problem. The other plant did look healthier but starting to suffer. I stopped watering last night, To be fair they didnt look very bad just a little sad. This morning massive wilting( drooping leaves like really bad. I turned down the lights, poked holes in the pots to let in air, put fans pointed them at the pots and cranked up the dehumidifier. I would love some advice here. Thanks
I shouldn't piss the bed either but here we are! Ah the joys of changing up your system, I went form 6 plants in a similar size area to two big plants. Man there's nothing better than looking at 2 thick ladies every day.
Hey mate, I can only help so much as I grow in Coco but I just had an overwatering issue and a bit of root rot. I imagine it would be pretty hard to get root rot with your no till living soil but I wrote a few things in my notes so I remember for next time. Here they are: • If after taking pot off smell roots, if the roots are mostly destroyed then take as much root rot away, spray with h202 and repot • Lower tempmperature of res (20ish) • Water with hydrogen peroxide and well aerated water • Add beneficial bacteria such as mammoth P and great white • Do watering with hydrogen peroxide • Make sure res doesn't receive light • Change res after 3 days • Put blanket over res and don't water if too warm. • Move pump so it aerates nutes • Lots of beneficial bacteria • Continue dosing high enzymes and great white • Regularly add h202 to res. Hydrogen peroxide (h202) is what fixed my issue but that will also kill all the good bacteria in your soil. I'm sure someone with more experience with no till will be able to help more.
Thanks mate, Im am going to run to town and get an air stone and pump and put it under the pots and force in some air and see if that helps, It should add some O2 and help with drying the pots out a bit. Fingers crossed.
Pictures would help. How much aeration have you used. Generally, we use 30-35 percent? What exactly are you calling "net pots". Do you mean fabric pots? I'd suggest elevating the pots on anything you can find that has an open structure like these plant elevators and running a few fans around your pots. That should help them dry out quicker.
Yea they are fabric pots, I made mine out of that green windbreak material, they are great really sturdy last years! Yea aeration is between 35%-40% Thanks for the reminder I had forgotten to lift them up, and already have fans surrounding the pots. No pics cant be assed figuring out how to take out the meta data, but its 100% overwatering (guess I needed to learn that lesson again) and in the late stages too with extreme wilt, If they don't pull their socks up in the next 24h id say its game over but they have a chance.
I want to figure this out too because I have pictures I am happy to share but don't know how to strip out the meta data first.
Navigate to the folder holding the images you want to edit. Select the file (or files) you wish to delete metadata from. Right-click and select Properties, then Details. Select Remove Properties and Personal Information. Click Create a copy with all possible properties removed. Select OK and that’s it.
Well lads I'm fairly sure the girls are dead, 1 Is hanging on by a thread but id say there is no coming back. My idea of putting air pump with air stones in was a complete flop they didn't have enough power but on reflection an air compressor might have been a better plan. Ah well live and learn. I know now how to spot the signs early on and will come up with a watering schedule that doesn't drown them. Thanks for all the help guys!
I'm curious, have you grown plants in your home made pots before? If not, is there a chance they have a waterproofing substance like Gore-Tex in the fabric that doesn't allow water to pass through?
I want to say you would get better advice in the beginner's section, but I think we all agree you should stop over-watering plants and wetting the bed. As for the metadata, there were threads here that explained disabling those features from the start in addition to checking them over before sending 'em. I don't know about the auto-stripping those guys above mentioned but it only makes sense. I don't really give a fuck any which way. People are openly posting grows on FB. With so many grey-market grows being posted everywhere, cops can't afford to turn up every little stone. They can't afford the labor. They can't afford the further loss of public credulity. They can't afford the high rate of attrition for an overpaid dipshit job. Ganja-hating taxpayers want more than a couple of plants for that Alcatraz cash and Orwellian bullshit.
