Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Gamereaper, Dec 2, 2011.

  1. ok so i have a 8x14 proffesional grow room with every thing you need but i dont have enuff lights or plants to fill it all up effectively, no i dont want to grow huge bushes. i can only have 30 plants, so what do you guys think i should do? all I got is 1 20 amp breaker i have it sorta nigrigged i have 2 1000w lamps. i dont care cost really im just trying to use my space. if you check my hjournal youll see the two small rooms i made and set up. I think i could do better with all my space what do you think?

  2. If you want to maximize your grow space...

Get another 1000w light and have them in the middle of your room one after another. Air cool them and vent the heat from the lights using an 8" fan. Have three rows of ten 3 gallon pots filled with coco or soil. Then exhaust the air with a Can 100 or something similar and another 8" fan. Make sure you have an oscillating fan in the middle blowing through the plants.

Or you could get two 4x8 ebb and grow systems and use a 4ft light mover with the two lights you already have. So each light will move back and forth 4ft over its own tray.

Or have your two lights on light movers and put three rows of five pots. In the same manor as mentioned above, for 6 rows total. Maybe three on one side of the room and three on the other, leaving space to work in the middle. Space to work in the grow room is pretty vital because taking 30 plants in and out is not ideal.

If you have any more questions or would like help getting a room setup, PM me and I would love to help. Im also a rep and can give discounts :)

  3. Id also like to advocate for Coco over aeroponics if you are new to growing. Coco is much more forgiving and the pH doesnt need to be as perfect as it does when growing aeroponically.

I also like the idea of giving my plants exactly the nutrients I want rather than using a soil like Firefox with pre mixed fertilizers. This allows you to know exactly what the plant has and when. Its much easier to see success with Coco.

    Just my two cents :)

  4. ta i was thinking 13 plant per light and then just adding another row then two plants could be mothers but 3 rows of ten with 3 1000w make my make my room a 6 x 10 with some light movers, and i dont think thats o much for one breaker/outlet (theres only 1 240v plug, the rest are 120v) ya i know its kinda fucked up but the person who did this was a retard

  5. i was thinking of soilless mixes and i was deciding on pro mix hp or coco. im using liquid fertz so coco seems to be the smart way. can you even over water coco?

so 3 1000w on a 1 ft light mover moving the width of it with 3 rows of ten, would 9 under each light work better because its more symmetrical? so my canopy would be 6x12 on the big side.

  6. Botanicare BCRG1.5WET Ready-Gro Moist Mix (1.5 cu ft) - This is the soil I use in my grows. It is coco / perlite mix at about 3:1 ratio. You can over water Coco but its not as easy to do as soil. Also the coco maintains a better pH balance compared to soil.

9 plants would work as well :)
