Need help avoiding ruderalis genes

  1. Hi all!
I have friends that have a pretty nice soil micro-grow setup going. They veg the mothers from which they harvest clones which are eventually stuck into a 3x3x3 flowering box. They purchased jock horror seeds from the nirvana seed shop and have gotten excellent results so far EXCEPT for that the mothers have started flowering (we want to keep them in veg mode until they are no longer suitable as mothers). After doing a little bit of research on the strain I found that Jock Horror has ruderalis genes which are responsible for the mothers flowering under a veg regime. I was wondering if anyone else uses this type of set up and if so, do you have a preferred strain? I'm also wondering if anyone knows about any good indoor strain WITHOUT ruderalis genetics?

  2. yeeah as your figured out by now they are auto flowering plants, I would recommend an indica indoors if its your first time growing, they are small, robust, and incredible resin content, they used to be used strictly to make hash. But get indica or sativa. stay away from ruderalis.

  3. Maybe some NL or ICE? The ones I've gotten are amazing! :D

  4. haha!! :D yeah northern Lights is a very easy and very forgiving.

  5. I didn't know that the Jock Horror had ruderalis genes, only after some heavy research I was able to get to the bottom of this. It was advertised as an "indica/sativa hybrid". Jock Horror is a knock-off of the Jack Herer strain and has been crossed with a ruderalis strain for a quicker flowering cycle. This makes suspect almost all the seeds and I don't want to drop another $50 without knowing for sure.
