Currently live in an apartment so I don’t have too much space, otherwise I’d have a perpetual grow with a veg tent or room. With the space I have I can only have a 4x4x8 tent. I want to have a place for a mother plant so I can use it for clones and throw them in my tent as soon as the 4x4 harvests, I want to ideally have clones rooted and ready from my mother to throw in there. Going to build a 2x2x4(?) maybe a bit smaller tent from poly film and pvc for a mother plant with a 300W viparspectra. Would this work? Also since my limited space with this plan, what would be better for yield? Scenario A : I have clones rooted, I veg them in the 4x4 then scrog them and flower, rinse and repeat Scenario B : I harvest but instead of using 4 plants to scrog i take much more clones (32? I hear 2 per sq ft for sog) and use the sea of green method. Reason I’m asking is because I feel like it’s a waste of space while those 4 clones veg for 1-2 months to start flowering in a scrog where as I can flower much quicker and don’t waste space if I sog? Need expert opinion on this! I will probably end up trying both but would still be fun to hear opinions and any suggestions
The key is more than you use. Once you have a backup any method is good. Folks spin their wheels instead of getting started. Once you have tried both report back and tell us the results.
With a good environment and good quality lighting you could do 3 grows a year from either clones or seed and harvest well over a pound each harvest - 4lbs. per year. 4 plants each grow.....5 week veg. Good luck no matter what you decide.
Yeah going to bonsai the mom using that guide but idk how big I should make the tent for it I figure 2x2 Incase I might want 2 in the future
Growilla, the 2x2 mom/clone might not be enough room to keep the 4x4 full. (only time will tell) with Sea of Green you want to stagger the clones, harvesting and adding new ones every week or 2... when i was growing SOG, i did 4 plants per square foot, clones vegged for 2-10 days (depending on strain) with 6" pots you need them to be deeper then normal though, most pots are roughly as tall as they are wide, but 4 plants/sq.ft. needs 7-8" tall pots.! with 64 plants in the 4x4 flower tent you want to start 20-30 clones every 2 wks, keeping 12-14 of the most uniform rooted clones, with the proper environment you can get 4-10 ounces (120-300 grams) every 2 weeks.! these are what i built for a future SoG, 6" octagons, 7 1/2" tall.....
look for my thread "Starting 30 Seeds" in 'Indoor Marijuana Growing' i made a 25" x 32" x 42" mom/clone chamber and a flower chamber of the same size, enough room for 3-4 small mothers (10-12" pots), 4 vegging clones, 10 clippings 20 flowering plants in the 6" x 7.5" octagon shaped pots (4 per sq.ft.)
