Hey guys, this is the deal. If any of you have seen my grow titlled 8 white widows, u will notice i have 8 feminized white widows under a single 400 W hps/Mh. I need money for a second one. is it worth breaking a certificate of deposit for the 500 bucks that i need to get the second lamp?! These babies definelty dont have enough light and i wish they did. They will most likey be in veg for only 2 more weeks! Answers please Answers please Answers please Answers please
well that depends (i work at a bank) how long is the CD for and whats your interest rate? and how much is in the account?
the cd is for 1000 dollars and it was issued 11 months ago for 1 year. Im getting 3.25%APY.... so what u think now? 30 minutes til i take action.
well, lets look at it from this way, good weed u can sell a bit to make u money to help pay back. or av a poor crop and a empty wallet, id go for it tbh
well, you wont really need the new lights till they start flowering right? and why waste 11 months when you only have 1 more to go. If its anything like my bank, youll be hit with an early withdrawl fee, and you might end up loosing money on the deal. Id say hold out for 1 more month.
you really wouldn't be lossing much money and if it helps you grow some extra grams who cares. 8 plants could do well under a 400watt hps i would just get some mylar and make the space as small as is reasonable.
yea he has a point, you really might not loose that much money, but you dont need the light IMMEDIATLY. Also, if you complete the CD the bank will take notice if you ever need a loan from them or anything. Id say hang in there, but its not imperitive that you do. The choice is yours haha. Good luck
the cd will expire on december 1st. Take a look at my grow on the same page you found this thread. My other thread has pics etc so take a look at "8 white widows (updated daily)" and leave me any suggestions.
banks closed.... so ill find out tomoorrow how much they will deduct. If its only 25% of the overall interest income, im not worried about that and will go ahead and buy my new lamp. Only 2 weeks more that ill have em in veg max. They are at 10 inches tall now and my space cant have lights risen higher than 6.5'. so my plants have to be 4.5' tall at most. This is why i cant wait an entire month. Ill have to set up the lights too which i havent bought and erected a way to get these lights to hang from the cieling yet. They say a gram/ watt is good. So if i get another 400 watts up, i am potentially opening the door to 400 more grams for this grow!!! This is the primary reason i am persistent behind why i need a second light.
must be a sweet set-up for $500. why not just go the inexpensive route and get a budget system like this http://www.htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=281 ? it's not the best, but i got the one that included a mh conversion bulb for $204 shipped.
the one i have up right now is exactly the same as the one im going to buy again. take a look--> http://www.specialty-lights.com/902480.html it includes shipping. Im just going to buy the exact same model with the same dimensions because this is all that will fit in my grow op. If i could find a 600 watt switchable, please let me know where. I can only find a 400 and a 1000.
