  1. Hello everyone I’m new to growing. I am in the process of purchasing a grow tent and need some advice. How many plants can I comfortably fit into a 2”x3”x5”/6” tent if i plan to use it throughout the plants life cycle? I have a 300w viparspectra but willing to upgrade lighting if needed.Thank you in advance for the information provided.

  2. You could probably squeeze in six plants, but I'd do four or five if I had that space.

Also, Your 300 watt Viparspectra only puts out 130 actual watts,
so You'd only be able to grow one plant under it, so yeah, You'll
need to upgrade that light a good bit. 300 actual watts wouldn't even
be sufficient for as many plants as You can fit in that space.

  3. 1-2 plants. 1 plant can fill a 2x2 space in no time.

  4. any recommendations on a decent light.

  5. Thanks for the reply.

  6. If this is your light, it's really a 130 watt outmoded blurple.

For your 6 sq ft (assuming I deciphered " correctly), you'd need about 180 watts total of today's good LEDs, but 150 could work. 30 watts per sq ft is the usual recommendation.
If money is tight, a smaller light plus viparspectra will work.

This is an unfashionable light that is a good value.

You might want to consider a taller tent.
Even a 6 ft tall tent can have height problems.
    (6 ft Tent) - (1.5 ft Buckets) - (1.5 ft min plant/light distance) - (0.5 ft ceiling/light distance) = 2.5 ft plants

My opinion is that you should grow 1 or 2 plants only.

  7. Thank you very much for the information I appreciate it.
