So im doing a cfl grow on 3 plants. I need to know what i need for the lighting and how to set it up.
in terms of wattage, you'll need true 200w to grow 3 plants as per most peoples recommendation...100w for the first plant, and additional 50watts/plant for any additional plants.
I must say much more info is needed like how long you plan to veg, pot size, genetics, size of grow room footprint, and probably a few more factors. Adding to what ^^ said make sure your cfls are real 100 watt cfls not the 23w 100w equivelants if you have your heart set on using cfls like I did until I realized they don't grow weight.
Youll probably decide on cfl for a first grow. Get the bulbs that say 6500k to start out with for vegging. Then if your ready for them to start budding;;switch those out with some 2700k lights. I would also hang the bulbs close to the individual bud sites during flowering to get the most out of the lights.
