Well I decided I am ready to grow I plan to use a space concealed under my stairs but I need advice on what I will need I already am thinking about using 4 foot flourescents like total of 12 tubes, the room is an akward shape as shown in the picture. This is a top view of it the height of the area is 52 inches. What strain should I use? and how much should I yield? I am sort of on a budget so I think hps is out of the question I think flourescents all the way.
with a space that shape you may consider splitting it into two small rooms, veg and flower. it'll make it possible to maintain a garden where you can just have a mother and take clones. personally i would put floro's in the veg. the thing with floros is to get the same light output as hps you have to actually use more watts w/ the floros than the hps. and you could find a 150watt hps for less than $150 online that would be sufficient for a small flowering room. is there any way to have an intake/exhaust fan?
agreed powerful CFL thing will cost u some too choose 250W hps for flowering and 150-200W CFL for veg
