Alright so right now I have somewhat of a ghetto Rubbermaid set up I'm growin in but found this small cabinet I ha around the house perfect for this grow. The only issue is I don't know how I'd install the lights since I REALLY hate drilling holes because I don't fucking know how to do in wood and cut myself last time I tried any ideas?
You can hand screw-in those eye-hook screws. They look like a question mark (?) but with screw-y pointy tip. And you can hang your lights using zip-ties (probably not a good idea), or those "S" hooks.
Thought of the zip ties but I'd want it to be an adjustable install like some sort of slider with a clip or something? But I'd have no idea how to do it. And the s hooks sound good but how would I hold them in place I hate knotting up the wires
I second the hook screws, s hooks and chains. Super cheap at the hardware store, you can hand screw them in but be careful, that cabinet doesn't look to be much more than an inch thick ( if that ) and most hook screws will be 1 1/2 inches+. None the less, put those in, s hook those and your lights/hood and move the chain up and down accordingly. If you want to go more expensive and 'ooo', you can get some of those retractable plant hangers, use some apoxy compound and stick it to the wood ( no drilling ) and then raise and lower accordingly. Now - bad thing, your not getting the hangers back off that wood without totally destroying one/both items. Let us know what you decide to do! Semper Fi Hornchen
I decided to just as the hooks that screw in upside down. Those seemed to do the trick and didn't penetrate through to the other side I have a question about ventilation I want to ask maybe someone can help? Right now I have two shit holes I drilled a little under 4 inches. Both have little of fans on them but I don't think the cab is getting is full air potential. As of now it'll do but in a bout a week I'm ordering a 4 inch inline fan +scrubber and was wondering if I could just take off both fans I currently have and just install the inline at my exhaust. Would this create enough negative pressure are flow to cool my shit? Right now it's at a steady 82ish-86ish. Or should I widen the intake hole that'll be fanless or is a little under 4 inches enough for a 4 inch inline 170cfm fan? Thank you guys sorry of this is a long ass read aha. Tldr: have 2 fans exhaust an intake. Ordering 4 inch inline. Is a intake of a little under four inches enough for the 4 inch inline for negative pressure flow?
