I'm using a Can 33 filter which has a 6 inch size. Currently I am running the filter to the fan which is pulling the air in to the flex duct and that turns to enter the hood. The noise on those 25 dollar Suncourt or the one I have now, its just too much. I need a recommendation for a better fan. I have looked at the Vortex and they aren't cheap but get awesome reviews. Also have seen the Can Max filters which look like good quality. Also wondering about speed controllers. My filter is rated to 300 cfm so I am trying to find one just under 300 cfm to keep it compatible. Any ideas would be appreciated.
