Alright so I've never grown weed before but I've seen a few people do it with all there fancy equipment and shit but I'm poor so that ain't happening, I wanna grow 5 differnt strains with orderd feminized seeds and then another patch of 5 a little ways away with some mids seeds ... What I wanna know is how the fuck do I get 5 flower pots up in the mountains without anyone wondering what I'm doing (there for the good weed, the mids are going in the ground), how far should I venture up the mountain, if I grow 4 badass sativas and a badass indica how good will they smell (like distance wise), how good will the miss smell (again distance wise), when should I put them in starters, and how big should I let them get before I transplant them into a pot ... I'm also curious about topping will it increase yield? Decrease potency? Potentially fuck my whole plant up if I mess up? ... I'm interested in super silver haze, green crack, blue dream, chocoloto (or something like that I've heard it's a good sativa) and sour diesel if that helps
for your pot issue....use smart pots you can fit a few in a back pack and carry them....but honestly that is a very small issue in comparison to having to carry water to the spot unless you have a water source nearby in the mountain. What ever spot you choose should be a good ways away from places and trails frequented by other people, well hidden and exposed to a few hours of direct sun light. It is better to find a natural clearing where you have to do minimal work to bring it to perfection than one where you have to do a lot of damage to the environment and potentially attract attention to get it in the right order.........a lot more could be said but go read and research.
Fari is right on the money. Another couple of good gorilla grow tips.. Get you some moth balls and throw them out around the area to keep animals away. And buy some dark green fake foliage. Like fake plants and decorations to help camouflage your plants when they get a little taller. And take your gear up there after hunters are done and before the grow season starts. That way you are just out for a walk..
I am also doing my first guerilla grow this year. Yes topping is good because it will keep the height of the plants down and make it more of a bush. I am going to grow in the ground but remove the earth and replace each hole with 1 cubic foot of soil that I have made. I needed advice as far as what to do for soil. Should I just use Kellogs Patio plus and add more perlite or make my own base potting soil mix. 6 cubic ft peat moss, 4 cubic ft perlite, 1.5 cubic ft of vermiculite, 25 lbs worm casting, 10 cups of dolomite lime,. After this I planned on adding kelp meal, oyster shells, mycho, azumite and lenordite for humic and fulvic acid. I will also add some polymer crystals because I wont be able to be their everyday to water and sometimes it can be inthe 90's days in a row. I want to keep pest away so I am steering clear of bone and blood meal. Also will the PH of the soil be okay after I add all the amendments. If I went with Kellogs patio plus I would still add the amendments including the worm castings and maybe some perlite. I have 12 feminized seeds I ordered from Herbies. I have heard good things about Humboldt Seed Organisation so I got their Sour BlueBerry and their Blue Dream 3 of each. Then I got a pack of Royal Queen Seeds Special Queen No.1 and I got three of those, I got 2 free power flower and 1 free critical all by RQS. All of the seeds I got are feminized. I chose the tracking method and all went smoothly but then I got an email saying they sent my seeds standard airmail due to the scrutiny on the tracked packages. They assured me my beans were guaranteed and if they didnt arrive I would be given a refund or replacement. It has always taken 8 days from the SSC or Herbies and it has been just a little passed that. I dont want to be pessimistic since Herbies hasnt let me down YET. I wouldnt do my grow in pots brother I would get an army laundry bag theyre huge and an army fold up shovel or something of the sort.. Dig 1ftx1ftx1ft holes in ground and fill with quality soil. You can make your own potting soil mix cheap and if you put all the right goodies in the soil their wont be any need for future nutrients maybe some bug bud and bud candy at the end. Find an eastern facing area to help with mold cause the sunrise will make the dew evaporate. When you go to your areas pee on a tree to leave a urine scent that will let animals know that humans frequent the area. Wild animals do not mess with people. Should I plant in plots of 3 or 4 or spread them all out equally. Im pretty far out but I dont have a ton of wooded areas. All help would be much appreciated.
A 1cu.ft hole ain't doing much for you plants in the way of root space. Your amendments sound good though. Never plant your trees in symmetrical patterns and where possible try to use other vegetation as cover for your ladies.
Like someone else previously mentioned, water sounds like it might be a concern here. For all those plants you are going to need a decent amount of water. If you can find a spot that is close to a small stream where you could get water, that would be ideal. The way you said in your OP about lugging your plants up there would be hard..it would be even more of a challenge keeping those plants watered unless you have a natural source closeby.
Personally I've never had a spot close to a water source....I've always had take water to them.for this years grow I gotta take 110 - 220 gallons of water to my spot but its part of the experience for me and its kinda fun too.
I have access to a creek really close but I dont want to use the muddy water. Is that OK? Fari I can buy peat moss by 3 cubic ft bundles adn perlite 4 cu feet for 21 dollars and vermiculite 1.5 cubic feet. If I buy it in these amounts how much of each do i need to make a substantial mix for my holes ive read 2x2x2 but this seems like an enourmous amount of soil for 12 plants worth. Could I cut it with a single bag of topsoil or something to add bulk. I planned on planting one tree then walking a ways then another and so forth. I have a spot in the woods I can walk back and forth to all day out of site with no one questioning me. Does anyone know anything about the Herbies situation I mentioned earlier. Also I decided to use green sand instead of oyster shells to keep the pests away or is this something i shouldnt concern myself with. Im Starting to get myself confused as far as a good soil mix for minimal $$$. I dont want my soil to be lacking but I dont want to burn the hell out of my plants. Like I said I am not using bone or blood meal. Also I found an awesome site lat night that sells tons of different organic add-ins for your soil. Its called kelp4less.com and they had kelp meal and azumite for the cheaps and no shipping even on the 50lbs of potting mix they carry. BTW im curious about the potting mix so if anyone picks some up let me know how that goes. They also carried a humic/fulvic acid mixture and I was thinking of using this instead the lenordite. Someone out there can help me simplify this. I also read as far as PH goes that dolomite lime should be applied 5 cups per every bale of peat moss.
A hole 2*2*2 requires 8 cu.ft of medium to be filled. You can indeed use the muddy creek water for you plants nothing is wrong with that once you yourself don't drink any of it. The ingredients mentioned before , the azomite n rock dust etc will make a rewarding soil for your plants and one you may only need to give plain water for the rest of the season. Also you need to add 1 cup lime per cu.ft of medium
Unless you are growing on your own property DO NOT USE CHEMICAL NUTRIENTS, they are harmful to nature and kills the fish. Don't destroy what doesn't belong to you. Even using water from nearby cheeks and streams affect fish environments. Keep it organic if you must grow on property you don't own. But remember by doing so you are breaking the law and can be possible caught. Card or not you'll be fucked. As for you attempt at growing you need to learn a lot. The best way to learn is to read books about it. Go purchase a grow bible ASAP and read it completely. I personally got two, that way you can cross reference things and even learn different techniques. Ed Rothensal and Jorge Cervantes are the authors I like. Don't rely on GC members to come answer everything for you, we get too busy with our own grows. Good luck.
Move to the west coast and do it in ur backyrd like we all do. Haha. :-D sorry had to drop a smart ass comment cause guerilla growing these days i s dumb when u can just move to states where its legal or basically legal. Did the guerilla thing in the midwest before moving to Cali four years ago and it wasnt worth it. Now I grow 5 pound plus monsters year after year legally. Definitely a better prospect.
Ya that is some pretty douche stuff to say. I live in Colorado but still have no choice but to guerilla grow. Why did you feel you needed to take time out to type that up. I put my 5 pound monster in your mom douche glad you decided to take your genes and move out to california. Why wasnt it worth it? Did it take a little effort mamas boy. No premade turn key operations that require 0 skill back in the midwest. Probably live in the nasty inland empire.
Not being mean was just being realistic andfor you to take it as a stab or anegative comment means u got the problem dude. If its all u can do more power to ya but if ur serious about growing good meds legally and want them to be high enough quality for a patient at a dispensary as well as being able to be inspected as the leos do inspect the legit gardens here. The illegal guerilla grows is what they bust on the daily during the grow season out here and good on them cause those criminals dumping chemicals on our national forests need to be stopped. That being said if all u can do is guerilla and ur doing it organically and just trying to keep ur jars full or help someone who needs access to this wonderful plant for their ailments then good luck and happy harvest to ya. :-D
I get it I guess it just wasnt the 1st thing i wanted to read when I woke up. My 13 fems arrived from herbies. Im using royal queen seed genetics and humbodlt seed organisation anyone know if these are good. Im in no way a noob but I just havent ever venture outside of my basement to grow. Always used and a plain potting soil and liquid nutes no amendments then went to RDWC. Now I have nothing and last year my friend outdoor grow supplied him with a ton of meds (not literally) and I saw that outdoor was superior in some ways and he was just using 7 gallon smart pots. I wont be able to make 2x2x2 holes i am only gonna be able to make 36 cu ft of base soil. 12 cu ft perlite, vermiculite, peat moss. That will give me 270 gallons of material to split among 13 plants if they all make it which is 20 3/4 gallon each. I figure a hole thats 2 five gallons bucket deep and then make it wider. Thats the best I can do this year
So just to inform you indoor is nothing like outdoor. Yea some things may be the same but too many things are different. You still have a lot to learn before you start.
Big holes full ofproperly cycled organic soil u can do alot without a ton of work. Jusst takes know howand mainly experience.
whatever you order just make sure it can finish where you're at, nobody can really tell you how far up a mountain to go to grow because we've never seen said mountain, part of guerilla is doing at least some surveillance, I mean you wouldn't just plant somewhere you know nothing about right? I was told when you find your perfect spot, walk another half mile and find another perfect spot lol. leave a a wallet with a couple bills, try to make the wallet stand out, people can't resist money you'll know if someone's been there if the cash is gone. I've even found things left by other guerillas like flamboyant ties on branches and watches, if you find plants leave em alone..just saying it happens when two people have the same hobby you run into each other sometimes Topping is easy just pinch off the new growth do it 2-4 times before flower. would you say an 11 gallon hole is acceptable??....not perfect but acceptable?? filled with properly amended soil of course.
