I was in a car accident about two months ago and I suffered from moderate upper back and neck pain. I was taken care of at a specialized clinic where I went through some basic check-ups, chiropractic adjustments, and physical therapy for about 6 weeks. I had to go 5 times a week for two weeks, then 2 times a week for 4 weeks after that. Two weeks ago was my last appointment and basically I told them that my pain was subsiding substantially, although I did have some minor aches, and I didn't feel the need for physical therapy anymore. So they closed my file and I don't have to go there anymore. However since then I still get occasional sharp jabbing pains in my neck.

I currently don't have any medical records of my visits to that facility, but if I do obtain them, will a MMJ doctor be able to prescribe MMJ to me based on what's documented? As of now, I have no idea what those records would say; probably just the pain levels (on a scale of 1 to 10) I reported during check-ups, what types of physical therapy I went through, chiropractic adjustments, etc.

    I'm in California btw

  2. Yes, in California, if you have medical records for a valid condition (chronic pain is one of them), or were prescribed pills (except antibiotics or hormones), you are just about sure to get a recommendation. :D
