Hi Everyone, The more I read the more things I feel like I need to buy...in the interest of trying to keep costs manageable im wondering how necessary it is to have a digital EC/PPM meter to gauge the strength of a hydroponic solution. I plan on using fox farms hydro which comes with a feeding schedule and a chart which outlines the amounts of nutrients to be added to a fixed amount of water. This makes me think that the appropriate PPM should be achieved with that particular ratio and I should not need to verify it. Can anyone with more knowledge of hydro growing chime in on why it would be necessary to purchase an EC/PPM meter and when I would actually be using it? Thanks, Corp
at first i didnt use one then a freind stop growing and gave me one so i use it faithfuly the ppm go up and down and when you add water to replace whats gone use freash water because the nutes settle to the bottom its up to you if your doing okay without one fine if you buy one you be using it all the time because all it takes is one time after you smoke one you slip up and put a little to much nutes or not enough water and it will sky rocket and you wont know about it and burn the roots your call
