Near fatal head injuries and loss of memory 1st grow in over 5 years.

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Vintendo56, Sep 10, 2018.

  1. Due to a "gypsy camp" of meth heads up here in Pacific Cascades, and the resultant rip offs on rural farms, Five-Oh ran them off before combat vets "held court" but like little cockroaches, small rips and burgs of portable things from rural farms and ranches have forced some grows to be put inside.

I can't remember (most of my life actually) but for GC, specifically PM and mold controls. Almost all my gear deteriorated, so all I have is my lighting and timers. I got a good oscillating fan but when I brought it in there were drops of condensation and small pieces of PM on leaves. I can't remember the inexpensive PM and mold control methods that actually worked without affecting oil production and quality.

I can't afford good dehumidifier, until suit is settled, can't even afford freakin ICE CREAM, MUCH LESS expensive "anything else" so if anyone could be so kind as to help with this issue, I would be truly grateful for any ideas that may spark memories. I hate begging, but my darn brain didn't make it past an extremely aggressive diesel truck.

    Thanks to all.

    Vin

  2. Just to make it clear for everyone, Vintendo is not asking for anyone to send him anything. He is asking for tips. Bear with him. Just show some compassion and help if you don't mind. @Vintendo56 , we'll get some help in here for you. My apologies for misreading your thread earlier.

    @Chunk ...maybe you can help?

  3. Dear RMJL: It is very embarrassing for me to ask for help, and to attempt to even write coherently (I used to be an award winning humor columnist) and I hope my reply wasn't snarky or sarcastic. No apology is necessary as you were just protecting the site, and I'd have to be pretty egocentrically stupid to fault anyone for keeping such a seriously helpful site safe. I could have probably written much more clearly, I am just grateful for the reply. I am having what has recently been ABLE to be diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome which sounds like a nothingburger, until I looked it up, then my conception turned to fear.

The worst is about 3-4 months after running out of custom formulated RSO, I start losing from 9 to 14 pounds a month. Each time I drop from 6' 2" @ 220, down below the Body Mass Index of 163 the "doctors" call it cancer cachexia, and say its gone too far. Each time the oil stops the wasting (so far) though 180 is the max now, and if my grow molds out, that's pretty much it. It will take too long to do another grow.

I USED to know a number of home concoctions for just about anything I've run into, I simply can't remember them from the head injury as stupid as that sounds. I much rather like to help other people and try to whenever I can. You were very nice, not mean, and a good Admin. You keep us all safe from ourselves!

Thank you again for your help, and kindness.

    Respects,

    Vinny

  4. I'm pretty damn drunk but, I would like to help. I'm not really seeing a question aside from mold control. What can we help you with if I'm missing the point?

For pm and some mold control, potassium bicarbonate sold under the name of GreenCure is what I would recommend. @BrassNwood grows outdoors year round in SoCal and uses it once a week on his plants and swears by it.

Most hydroponic shops carry it at least down in So California they do.
Sister compound to household baking soda it can be used and found in baked goods and is very safe for our use.
Can actually use good old arm an hammer soda in a pinch.
1 tablespoon per gallon is the generally accepted mix ratio.

@BrassNwood will alert me in most any posting and I check the site at least once a day if not more and am always glad to offer advice.

After you get rid of the mold/mildew with potassium/sodium bicarbonate or sulfur, the new oscillating fan will help the most, maybe leave the door open as much as possible for fresh air to enter your grow area, the more fresh air the better, it is the main defense against PM and mold, try donation stores like goodwill or salvation army, they sometimes have really cheap house fans (round, box, oscillating), maybe another fan blowing towards the grow area would help....???? maybe check commercial construction site dumpsters for florescent lights, fans, containers, and dry erase board..... reduce, recycle, reuse.!!
I still have a 175w MH ballast that was a dumpster find and I used it for 4-5 years.!!

Are you growing in a tent/closet or an open room.?
