NC's Better Late Then Never Multi-Strain Soil Grow

Hey Guys & Gals decided to finally start my 2nd journal a fews weeks already in but decided to get my lazy arse going and said better late then never LOL This second time around I will again be using FFOF medium, starting them under a T5 for the 1st few weeks & then under a 600W HPS for around 4-6 weeks of Vegging before flipping to 12/12. This time I decided to do a little bit of a variety of strains and went with : (3) White Russian, (2) L.S.D., (2) LA Conf. & (1) Rocklock and Sharksbreath.


I am currently 4 weeks in since sprout and week 5 will be Monday, so technically about the end of week 2 of veg and about to go onto week 3 this Monday. They are on the standard 18/6 lighting schedule but I have already started to notice some trichs on some of the top leaves now I don't ever recall see'ing them in veg before this early atleast but maybe I was never really looking at that point. Can already start to see where theres going to be some calyx's very very tiny lol. So I guess I sort of have a ? on that is it normal to see some trichs this early on

Also I haven't been taking constant pics lol each week since sprout so I will post what I have taken upto this point and from now start taking weekly pics & updating them each Sunday at the end of each week. One of the L.S.D.'s are currently about a week or so behind the (3) WR, (1) Rocklock & (1) Sharksbreath and the other (1) L.S.D. and (2) L.A.C. are about 2 weeks or so behind the WR's, RL, & SB and about one week behind the other L.S.D. sorry if I made that confusing but atleast I can say I kept pretty good track upto this point

A few things to note these were transplanted 3 days ago the (3) WR's went into 5ga. pots, (1) SB & RL went into 3ga. and the (2) L.A.C's will go into 3ga. as well and (2) L.S.D.'s will go into 5ga. also since being transplanted and watered with there first light feeding of 1/2 tsp. Grow Big & 1 tsp. Cal-Mag.

I have noticed a little taco-ing going on at the top leaves I had this problem last grow for a little bit and then finally it went away, I think it may have been them going under the 600W HPS and getting use to it I also raised the light up a little today to about 27-28'' above canopy & will leave it at that for a couple days for them to adjust and then lower a tad to around 20-22'' or so. The temps are running about 80-83F in the day higher then I would prefer but not exceeding 83F which I think will be O.k. and about 75-77F at night those day time temps I'm figuring & hoping they will drop some soon as it's getting cooler out now well see. Well here finally are just a few pics of them so far basically pics of sprout and just a few days ago week 4 since sprout!

Hey hey Cali thanks for stopping in and checking it out! Haha yeah going to try and grow some serious bushes. Yeah to be honest those are the two strains I'm most looking forward to as well from what I've heard and read they just seem like a all around pleasure to grow and have great medicinal qualities which I'm def looking for more then anything also looking forward to the LA Conf. as I have heard its a great med strain as well.

So pretty much I figured I have the WR & LAC for my meds and LSD and others for headstash if everything turns out ok. well see. And heck yeah it definitely will be awesome to have someone to go into 12/12 around the same time with I'm stoked now we both gotta play the waiting game.... lol

Yeah I freak out whenever I notice the littlest thing wrong with my plants lol hopefully the raising of the lights solves the problem but your right also could be the beginning of cal/mg def. I just gave them there first feeding 3 days ago started at 1/2 tsp. grow big and 1 tsp. Calmag so if it's the beginning of cal/mg def. hopefully that nips it in the bud! I'm still kind of planning my feeding sched. out just have the first few weeks penciled in now plan on alternating feed/water etc for the first few weeks..

Sweetness brotha, I love grapefruit glad to hear there doing well were they from clone or seed? Hell yeah on the HPS what brand did you end up going with? I can't wait to see those bad mama's in full flower will be a beautiful site to see

Hey AG GE now lol, thank you for sitting in on the 2nd round with me Yeah I think I remember you mentioning being interested in SB awhile back I'm looking forward to that one as well as all the others!! The SB along with the RL & LSD will def be headstash for me the others more so will be used sparingly for my med needs since I found out last week I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia sucks on top of my back issues that I still deal with so I'm thinking and hoping from what I've read & heard that the WR, LAC will do the trick well see.

All a matter of testing those medicinal strains to see which best suits you everyone's different ya know. I really wish I could find some nice strains that have high CBD but seems over the decades through breeding that it's been bred out of strains for higher THC percentages.

 

Nice might have to try them out haven't had grapefruit in sometime. Dayum mang that is a hell of a price especially on the ballast I wouldn't be able to pass a price like that up either that's killer for sure ! Well hope you having a good start to your week I'll have some pics coming up later this weekend just noticed yesterday the first pistils poppin on the white russians woohoo now I'm with ya on waiting for the others to play catch up!

Well here are the last of the veg pics with the exception of the L.A.C. a couple of days ago I sat there thinking to myself geez these two L.A.C. seem to be growing mighty slow compare to the others, well couple days later I decided to do some searching & seems they are a real slow vegg'er so I'm letting them go 2 to 3 more weeks tops!

 

Hey brotha, haha yeah I think I may have let them go a little too long will be pushing the space limit hard it looks like. The White Russian are fricken insanely dense monster bushy goodness with many tops I think I counted roughly atleast 20-22 or so on one plant and thats not even FIM'ed or topped all three of them are nicely uniformed as well.

Well I flipped the switch last night, so hopefully the pistils will be a popp'in shortly well I'm about to head on over your way, hope all is going well

 

Hey fellas I was inspecting the plants a little bit ago & noticed on a couple leaves have what looks to be a def. of some kind starting (small light brown/rust colored spots & also some purpling in the stems you can also notice some yellowing in the leaves but the veins are green?, seems to me it sounds like a Mg/Mn I took a couple of pics the best ones I could it's kinda hard to see and doesn't appear to be that severe yet but definitely don't want it going there. I'll let you guys have a looksy and tell me whatcha think

I'm thinking maybe giving it some epsom salts?? Not sure tho.. I'm starting to get in panic mode lol always seem too when somethings going wrong Thanks in advance for your help guys!!

 

Hey Good afternoon brotha! Yeah same here lol I'm not that experienced determining def. but it seems it's a Mg/Mn or possibly a N but too me looks more like Mg/Mn. I recall having this issue slightly on my plants last grow around when they were the same age but from what I remember after a few feedings of bloom nutes I think it got better atleast it didn't worsen that I'm sure of

From what I've been able to find it seems safe & can't really hurt to hit them with a shot of epsom salts next watering and hopefully that will clear it up. If anyone else wants to chime in and give me their thoughts I'd greatly appreciate it much!

CaLi man doin work on the cell just saw a little while ago that you'd be gone for a bit from the city so this is a pleasant surprise indeed

The temps are running in the 75-79 range in the day occasionally hitting 80 every once in awhile but it's usually around a steady 77-78. At night the temps are running around 73-76 usually at a steady 73-74.

I started feeding veg nutes (FF GB) week 4 gave them 1/2tsp. GB, 1tsp. calmag then followed by just pH'd watering. week 5 they just got plain pH'd watering's. week 6 they got 1tsp. GB, 1tsp. calmag, 2 Tbl. Big bloom followed w/ a pH'd watering with calmag. Then week 7 they just got their first dose of bloom nutes 1tsp. TB, 1Tbl. BB now their due for a pH'd watering here soon.

And now that I think about it more & more after their first feeding in week 4 might not have been enough nutes especially N seeing how they didn't get their next dose until beginning of week 6. I also kinda feel that its a Mg/Mn def. still seeing how the plants prob used what little was in the soil and during just the plain watering's whatever was left in the soil was leached out I don't know I'm just gabb'in now I'll stop.

I know it's tough for you to determine on your camera, but if you can think of what it could/might be and get a free chance hollar back at me, really appreciate you checking in brotha! Hope all is well take at easy & talk to you soon peace brotha

 

Hey all, well I was able to get some better pics I think of what's going on.... seems to be worsening somewhat also seems to be some yellowing going on in the leaf margins

I also forgot to mention yesterday that there is some reddish color hues in some of the stems as well but don't know if that's just the strains genetics.















I'm freak'in fellas
