I don't know what's been up with me lately... every time I go 12 hours to a day without smoking, I get horrible nausea. I know weed is good for nausea, but do any of you other seasoned tokers, who'd never had nausea before they started smoking, experience bad nausea when you go without for a while?

Are there some good ways to ease this without smoking?

2. Depending on how much you smoke a day will determine how harsh the effects of withdrawal are.

3. Do you remember having nausea before you started smoking? I know that I lose 90% of my appetite when I'm sober and nausea happens in the mornings just about every day

4. Nope never had it before I started. I still have a decent appetite, at least.

5. don't stop smoking. That's all I can say. I don't have income and so I can't smoke every day, but If i had money i wouldnt stop if it helped me through my day

6. Ask your doc for anti-nausea pills... My mom has to take them sometimes.

7. anti nausea pills, anti insomnia pills, anti pain pills, anti inflammation pills, anti headache pills. you get my point. You could make cannabis capsules, that's a much healthier pill that can replace all of these other pills

edit: Or any other ingestion system of pretty green bud

8. I completely agree, honestly, but not everyone has 24/7 access to the bud. I assumed that's what the op implied by saying "without smoking". lol

9. good assumption lol, personally I try to minimize my intake of meds even if it means discomfort and pain. Let nature fix it if I don't have bud. It hurts and I might be an idiot, but it feels good if you catch my drift

10. Nah I pretty much have bud all the time. I just tend to stop for a day or two at a time for work/school reasons. And the nausea hits me super hard during this time. It's strange that I never had a problem before.

11. I'm pretty sure there are no withdrawal effects from marijuana, as it isn't physically or legitimately mentally addictive.

12. I don't know how much you smoke at a time, but if you're having nausea I find that a quick snap hit, more like 2...or 3...reduces nausea for me at least. So when it hits, don't smoke to get high necessarily, just smoke to take the discomfort away.

13. I smoke for nausea too and i have a similiar problem as OP. Although I had it before I started smoking.

When I stop it's only bad th first few days, by the third it subsides.

14. maybe youve had nausea and weed is just suppressing it, never heard or withdrawal that bad

15. Merck Manual - Marijuana (Cannabis) (excerpt - 2008)
Marijuana (Cannabis): Drug Use and Dependence: Merck Manual Professional

Withdrawal: Cessation after 2 to 3 wk of frequent, heavy use can cause a mild withdrawal syndrome, which typically begins about 12 h after the last use. Symptoms consist of insomnia, irritability, depression, nausea, and anorexia; symptoms peak at 2 to 3 days and last up to 7 days.

Try some ginger tea, or ginger ale- old-fashioned nausea remedy. :)

You might have an underlying problem that weed is "treating" when you are smoking

But I know some people get nausea when they don't smoke after smoking frequently for a long time. I never have though

17. Because of weed I have to eat a meal thats easy on my stomach right when I wake up, or else I puke everywhere especially if I have my tea or coffee without breakfast. Everyday with this shit it sucks being at friends houses and waiting around for them to eat and I'm in their bathroom puking up my guts because of this weird problem.

18. weed gives you nausea, never heard that one before

19. I had it for the first 3 days of my T-Break.
