Nasa

  1. Does anyone love going to the NASA website www.nasa.gov
as much as I do? I love going there and looking at all the
    pictures and information.

Speaking of which i just had a cool idea last night.
I was thinking about what Carl Sagan (my man) was talking
about in the book Contact. Way better than the movie.
Anyway he was talking about maybe having a radio telescope
as large as our orbit around the sun. It would be so simple.
Just launch three radio telescopes into Earth like orbit around
the sun. One to orbit opposite the earth and two to orbit on
opposite sides of the sun from each other but always in view
of the Earth and the radio telescope opposite us. I mean,
you obviously cant launch something the size of Aricebo into
space but maybe we could build it in space and then send it
on it's way. Do you realise how powerful that could be. We
could hear clearly the, i think it's called cosmic background
noise. Basically, we could almost hear a pin drop, uh I forget.

    I'm sorry, stoned yet again.

    Did anyone follow me though?

  2. no....

but the nasa site is pretty cool!

  3. I get that whole sattelite idea. It sounds pretty cool. I've always been fascinated with stars and galaxies and shit like that. I've got a 6" dobsonian telescope thats fuckin 4' high. Looks like a giant bong.... :)

  4. i enjoy watching the nasa channel, the radio teloscope seems like a good idea
