yes his album was released today but ive had it for a couple weeks (downloaded it). im of course gonna buy it too so i can add it to my collection. great album. Nas is right hip hop is dead. mainstream artists are fake. All they're rhymes are basic. they ruined the point of rap. theyve turned it from lyrics into a ghetto fashion show (in my opinion).

Nas > you. Nas > all. Nas = one of my favorite artists

how is Nas wrong? he is saying hip-hop is dead in terms of lyricists.. no shit hip-hop is alive and kickin with artists like Lil Wayne.. Bun B .. etc etc but their lyrics aint shit.. any damn kid can right like them. its not hard they rhyme about the same things all the time. how there so fly and fresh.. or big drug dealers what now.. they put no thought into their rhymes and alot of them hire ghostwriters like madskillz to pen their lyrics for them

including diddy. yes ima say it now. diddy doesnt any of his lyrics. so many artists have penned lyrics for him. he should stick to running his label and focus on being one of the best CEO's out their.

I just downloaded this cd, pure genious. I forgot how much I loved Nas.

Hip-Hop is definitly dead. People are so concerned nowdays with the beats and shit and dont even realize how shitty the lyrics are. Yeahh its cool to rap about sellin coke and shit...god so mundane after every mainstream rapper sings about it. No original lyrics with any half decent raps.

Im a huge Biggie fan, Dre, Snoop, em, NWA alll good shit. But I'm with Nas on this..I'm sick of shitty mainstream rap.
