Ok after an insane amount of research and asking questions I've now figured out what lighting systems I'd like to order. Again, the closet being used is 4.5x8x8 and the grow space is 3x3. The plants will have ventilation a few hours a day, but the majority of the time will be closed in with fans for air circulation. Heres the 3 lamps, if possible please help me decide. If you do recommend the CFLs please let me know if i should use a mixed bulb setup or keep them all the same. Thanks for all the help, your tips and suggestions are helping alot. unless your going to add a ventilation system the HPS/MH will heat up that room too much. it's a decent sized room, but still. so that is out of the question. between the other two T5 fixtures it's just more common sense... 8 bulbs is better than 4 so get the last one.
Like the poster above said, you won't be able to run HID lighting without non-stop venting in a closet that small.
I just ordered a 400W HPS/MH Lighting system, I know heat will be an issue but will come up with a solution so I can benefit from the more powerful lighting. As of now, i think I'm going to take down the door of my closet and mount plywood in place. With a fan mounted on the top and bottom as an intake and exhaust. What do you think?
i have seen you posting alot, i like. eger to learn well here it is. cuting a hole in drywall is cheap and easy, even if you rent. you studs in the wall will be 12-16in apart plenty of room for you to put any size duct through. easy to fix, a piece of drywall some mudd and a little paint it will look like new when you are done with it. gool luck holla back
