Nai's first CFL grow box

    hey guys, i could use some tips/pointers and criticism and advice from people with experience. i posted this just in indoor cultivation first before i saw the micro grow so i decided to post here too

    for some reason i cant upload pictures, i will tomorrow though. basically i have 25x27x17 and i have 8 sprouts. at first i kept them at the bottom of the box but when they sprouted overnight 2 of them were almost 3 inches tall. the seeds began germination 4 days ago and 5 of the 8 are around 3 inches tall and two, wich were given to me by a friend, have stayed smaller then an inch. i have the lights on 18 hours a day \t\t

    i cant post the same pics on there that i did on the other thread, so if u could check it out that would be a good way to see where im at with the tall sprouts. ive moved the plants close to the light today to try and stop them from growing taller

    Hmm im a beginner but it looks very small for all the plants in there to mature.
    I for myself would use it for only one plant, but you probably gonna do that anyways?

    I think a scrog variation could be nice in this scenario.

    Im hoping to have little banzai trees, but yes they will not be growing very large

    Get the plants closer to the lights so they don't stretch.

    Cool setup man, i got one similar (linked in my signature) just started flowering last week. I got a little bonsai for sure. How many lights/watts are you running?

    I have 3 13w and 2 20w 2700k bulbs from the dollar store i wana get some tube florescents to go like up the corners.. Idk yet playin around

    How big were yours when u started flowering? And how many? What lights do u have?

    Well you need around 100w (actual watts) minimum per plant unless you want to keep it really, really small. I'm using 3 23w cfl bulbs for flowering and vegged it with only one 23w bulb. Mines really small but it was kind of more an experiment to see how micro i could get. Anyways, i would get a power strip, then get 3 or 4 23w cfl bulbs and buy 3 or 4 socket to plug adapters [​IMG]

    And then plug all the lights into the power strip and make a light strip.

    like so, but maybe without the splitters.

    this set up works

    but if you wanna be more comfortable with it and use something a little more legit you can go to lowes and get a 3 to 5 socket vanity light for over a mirror with 3 to 5 sockets(depends on which you buy makes sure its for normal e26 standard light bulbs and put y splitters in it.

    the 3 socket ones ive bought were about 9 bucks and some change and put 3 y sockets in for 6 bulbs
