So, bring a photo ID to an anti-photo ID protest. Perfect. The Associated Press, naturally, buried this revelation late in its story:

Rep. David Lewis, R-Harnett, said Saturday the NAACP was being hypocritical for directing marchers on a document to bring photo identification when it opposes a photo ID requirement for voting. Lewis helped shepherd a voter ID law through the legislature.

Voting doesn't matter anyways but I posted this for the LOL factor.

  2. Well that wasn't thought out thoroughly.

It's just a list of recommendations... not requirements. They probably hand out the same, generic, list of recommendations for every protest or event they organize.

Like wearing a hat and comfortable shoes, and drinking water, are good recommendations when you are at a crowded protest, so is having a proper I.D. in case you get trampled or something, and they need to identify your body.

They aren't checking I.D.s at the door, and they aren't requiring anyone to have one. It's a friendly reminder, ffs.

  4. What a non-story this is; wasted digital space.

  5.

Guys I think it's just supposed to be funny.

  6. It wasnt a protest against photo id's. It was a protest against like a hundred things. Basically just a bunch of democrats protesting about how republicans hold a super majority in the NC legislature, and democrats are pissed about every bill they have passed.

  7. Well, voter ID's are racist, so therefore, the NAACP is racist.

This had a pretty funny "lawl" factor to it. The march had other things to it, but it all started from the "radical" (and I read that off an article about this march) Republican agenda about voter ID's.

  8. This is funny... NAACP at its finest.

I like the media one too..

Don't talk to media --- Hey, don't voice your opinion! Just stand there and march. Sounds like all they needs are puppets, not people.

What's wrong with requiring people to have an ID to vote?

  9. So have ID's incase you die and we have to figure out who you are

But If you want to vote we don't give a shit who you are?

  10. As long as you vote liberal democrat.

  11. You should eat a good meal and drink water before voting too, but should it be a requirement?

  12. yeah, i don't get the whole fuss over the voter id thing....in florida for the 2012 presidential election you had to bring an id, to go and vote

  13. Mandela thinks it is a good idea:

  14. Don't forget to snitch to a marshal anyone who hasn't been pre-approved for the march...

  15.
What should be a requirement for voting in your opinion?

  16. can somebody tell me why this is a racial issue? being forced to show id to vote?

minority card comes into play because of illegal immigrants...they vote as they are paid to and told to or just have the illegal sign the fake id card so someone votes in their stead...old tactic employed enjoyed by some areas to get whom they want into office. those stirring up the stink are the ones wanting to use this tactic.

ever wonder how Bush or Obama got more votes in some areas then there are people alive and registered to vote there...

voter id is just showing you are a citizen and that is all. it shouldn't be an issue as you are supposed to prove who you are to register to vote...why not show your id that you are supposed to have to begin with?

  18. that's exactly what i thought the issue would be and you echo my sentiments on it exactly.

it isnt a race issue, its a citizenship issue.

  19.

always has been, some political groups and politicians themselves know the losses they face if all voters have to show some ID.
