I've two issues that have caused dead leaves - pH, and zinc deficiency. I've noticed the dead leaves eventually die off, but it generally takes a few days. I have some sort of primal urge to pluck the stem off.. What's the 'right' thing to do?
Some say leave them until they fall off on their own (which eventually they will do), I tend to snip them but only once it is obvious they are beyond hope. As long as they have some green I leave them. To snip use sharp, clean scissors and cut the leaf stem between the leaf and the branch, closer to the branch.
