Mystery strain?

  1. I recently picked up a few clones they called it super glue but said it was Gorilla goo and gelato 44 but when I looked up super glue it is Afghani in Northern Lights. So I'm curious if anyone has heard of the Gorilla Glue and gillatoe 44 mix strain
  2. To be honest with you, all strains are pretty much mystery strains in my opinion. Go ahead and google a few strain names and take notice of what each breeder combines to make said strain. They're different, huh? Now go back a generation and look at the parents that they used (which you can't) and consider what their make-ups are...and on and on, etc.

Even if a breeder keeps meticulous records of what they do, unless they're originating from some landraces that they researched and found, their genetic stock may be just as much a mystery.

In my view, the whole concept of genetics and strains in the cannabis field is one big clusterfuck. But that's what you get with an illegal plant. You get stoners and mafia doing things how they want and it's not the way a botanist would keep track of things.
