I can't use a grow box in my apartment because of temp issues especially during the spring and summer. Even if I did vent my 400 watt cool tube the temps would still be in the 90s+. Yes my apartment is a bitch. I'm not to fond on running an ac just for the room because it's in the other room anyway and it doesn't cool the next room. I also don't want to buy one just for that. So what I do is use a sliding door wardrobe closet and during the veg cycle I leave it open because my plants are on 24-0 on 12-12 I open it during the on time obviously and close it on the off time. Here is the actual question lol. Would it be worth using mylar on 3 walls of the closet or not even bother? I can't close the door with the hps and still be able to get good air circulation. My only idea was to slide one of the doors completely shut and mylar that up and leave the other one open with a window fan and light proof the whole room. I figured it would be worth it because the closet is so wide that the plants on the outside would benefit. The actual floor space is 19 by 60 inches and If I use big pots I have to line them up side by side because otherwise they won't fit in a square pattern. Any thoughts? I hope this makes some sense.
I think it would be worth it to mylar up the walls. Even if you couldn't totally enclose the room, the extra light that the plants would receive from 3 walls could only help them.
