Is it something i should be concerned about always getting bud that's really dry? Can the quality be effected for having dry weed? It's always pretty dense but dry lol.

    -thanks in advance.

  2. That's not out of the ordinary for commercial buds. It's likely that bud has been sitting for a while before it wound up getting to you, and stored in bags probably. If your buds are overly dry it will burn a bit faster and the smoke will be a bit harsher but other than not being as good as if it was properly cured (taste and smoke wise), you should be fine.

That weed looks good enjoy it, regardless :smoking:

  3. Cannabis is supposed to be dried and smoked! If you don't want it to crumble to the touch maybe use an airtight jar instead of a baggy? Nice buds by the way!

  4. dryer is better. you get more weight for less. and then put them in a jar with an orange peel over night or blow into the baggy.

  5. So what if you have been cured well its just been sitting around before it got to you? Properly cured weed can't get dry?

  6. You don't get it. Smokable cannabis is SUPPPOSED to be dry!!!

  7. then nothing... its just properly cured then allowed to dry... properly cured weed has a relative humidity of about 55%... the weed your getting im betting has a RH of about 35%... but like the next comment your a winner winner if your bud is dryer.. you get more bang for your buck... so don't over think it, be happy you've got top shelf stuff and your getting more since it weighs less

Properly cured weed already has been pretty dried... drying first, then curing.

Generally you cure when the stems are snappable and don't just bend when you try to snap them, so the product you receive is still dry... not necessarily so dry it turns to powder in your hand haha but dry isn't a bad thing

  9. You don't want it to be super dry, sticky is what you want. Kind of wet, but it's not wet. It's better to have super dry bud than super wet bud though so atleast you don't have that... Looks dank as fuck bro. :hello:

  10. It should be dry.... to an extent,

old weed does get really dry and can be turned into powder easily as SIRSOG said.

also as others said, you dont want water weight, thats basically paying for nothing. and if its still wet it can easily get moldy....

  11. It doesnt turn into powder lol. I made quick video.

  12. looks completely normal to me lol

  13. Well i was just wondering because ive seen other peoples weed that's actually kinda damp if you take a bud and pinch it. Seemed like my weed was super super dry compared to theirs lol.

  14. if it feels damp and squeezes, its too wet lol

  15. You got some top shelf stuff there just were you want it.

  16. my idiot buddy would leave his weed in his car where the sun would blast on it an heat the car and in turn dry out the weed. Sometimes the sun would be hitting the bad as well. >.<

THESE are not good things. If your bud crumbles because of it sitting in places where the heat gets at it, that is bad. Similarly with sun hitting it.

Both excessive heat AND sunlight break down THC. FACT

BUT, if its overly dry from sitting out too long in more acceptable conditions(cool dry place). it should be fine.

Ive noticed that weed that sat in the heat\sun gives a very drowsy high, even from buds that were real heady sativas before the damage.

  17. That seems pretty normal to me. After 4 weeks or so of curing my buds get that snapping sound when you break it up. It's not overly dry, it;'s extremely sticky and I find it's the perfect consistency for taste and smoking. Sometimes the cured buds come out dry enough to break up by squeezing and rolling between thumb and finger, if it's not a dense strain.

If you can squeeze the bud and it squishes in a bit then it hasn't been dried long enough. Another indicator of this is vivid light green stems and hemp fibers coming off along with a bud from the stem.

It's certainly better to have cannabis more on the dry side than on the moist side, especially if you're buying it. If I were you I'd keep picking up bud from this person cause sounds like the other dealers are cutting corners by rushing the process.

  18. Thanks a lot to everyone commenting, really helped me a lot lol.

  19. Will do, thanks. It's actually my dads old friend i pick up from mostly. HUGE stoner lol.
