My very first face drawing, EVER!

  1. Well, my 30D has been in the shop for a week now so I am at somewhat of an artistic standstill-NOT!

I will not go down without a fight. I decided, a few hours ago, to pick back up on my drawing.

Now, listen, I haven't drawn anything in over 2 years, so this portrait took a little over 2 hours to complete.

You don't have to tell me that you can see where I attempted to erase pencil marks. I know. I can see that too.

It's not great, it may not even be good in your eyes, but I'm still musing over my work. I'm relatively happy with this drawing and hope to keep practicing.

    Done in my sketch pad
    Sketched with Goldfaber HB pencil.
Finished with Faber Castell, PITT Artist Pen-Size S (super fine)

  2. Hey, man..that's really good O_O. Artsy shit runs in my family...my great grandma did AMAZING paintings, my dad can draw crazy shit. They all can. But I have no artistic ability whatsoever.

I can only play the piano. Hope to see more stuff, man

  3. good as shit man

  4. well i mean as far as anime drawings go and what not you're dead on.

  5. I wouldn't go as far to say that he's dead on for anime drawings, althought thats what his style is representing. For someone drawing a face for their first time EVER it is pretty good. With some practice i'm sure you'll be right back in the drawing game.

  6. keep practicing.good first attempt. never was any good at anime/manga or w/e myself.
