My grandfather who is near 70 has a few conditions and diseases. I've done research on his main diseases. Chron's and Diabetes top type (forgot what number it goes too, I think type 3) Anywho, after reading Granny's post on diabetes, and doing solo research on the Chrons, marijuana should be a great thing for him to at least ingest to help his medical problems. I asked my grandpa, "I've done research... it can really help you. Marijuana is a great victor to your medical problems. I can help you too. We can make you better! Please!" "NO. Are you fucking out of your mind!? Stupid. stupid. stupid! Weed does nothin' good for nobody! Makes you a fuckin' moron!" Ok, now after this he walked away I as was leaving his house without exchanging goodbyes for he was in an upheaval of anger and disappointment. What do you guys think about all this? It could really help him, but he's so anti-cannabis.
Previous generations are too fixated on all the propaganda, they have ingested and internalized it too much, dont take it personally. :/
I believe it would help him and my grandfather is suffering from MS and its really taking a tole on him recently.I thought about explaining to him the good of marijuana and what it could do for him but in there generation its just so different.Overall its there choice though.
Your intentions are good, but you may have over-estimated his willingness to listen and dialogue about the issue. I suggest you print out a study or two, or the summary reports, detailing how medicinal marijuana can directly help Crohn’s and diabetes. Check out Granny Storm Crow’s list of research for a good reference point. Let him know that you are open to discuss it further if he likes, then leave the ball in his court. Sometimes that's all you can do. Peace!
Yeah I tried not too but he was angry which I didn't understand why Their generation has more morals than us though and I can tell you I bet there all sad at what their nation has become lolz JK CAUSE THEY WATCH THE NEWS xD Forreal lolz he'd have a heart attack of trying to kill me and yelling probably :O lol we will wait and see for ourselves one day > Thank you, my kind sir. Wise words and great source to Granny The Union? The documentary? Or.. something else haha elaborate?
Pot does have medical qualities which every body needs to understand, but it is not the fucking cure to life like everybody thinks it is. oh u have a headache? smoke pot u dont feel good? smoke pot? got cancer? smoke pot hungry? smoke pot got aids? smoke pot back hurts? smoke pot ^ not trying to be an ass but that's how people really are.. Plus you need to realize he is 70 years old, his lungs aren't like yours to smoke, and i'm sure he shouldn't be eating fucking brownies with diabetes lol. And I'm sure he doesn't want you going to the streets and getting some weed off a random dude for him to do. And another thing, not everybody likes being high, or wants to always be high even with the medical properties of cannabis sativa because they have everyday tasks to do.
Woah man, that blows. My bestfriend has ulcerative colitis, which is pretty similar to chrons disease, and he's off his steroids and shit because of smoking. Basically, when you have crohns disease your stomach lining is weak and acids start breaking through and start triggering inflammatory responses. (off the top of my head) and when you smoke, the cbds basically help strengthen the stomach lining therefore making it less leaky. Crohns is one of those disease that marijuana actually HELPS a great deal, Not just suppresses it or not even significantly lowers the chances.
It makes me mad when I see people using weed as a remedy like this, the medical thing is way out of hand IMO. It can help a lot of things, and I think weed + water is the best way to nurse a hangover, but people DO try to use it as a wonder drug. What I would do in your shoes is to go at it from a "professional" standpoint to your grandpa, get some information, basically try to sell the idea to him. Tell him about how vaporizers can eliminate any health problems that the smoke may cause, tell him about how it helps a lot of people with similar problems. Hell, find one of those videos of patients that actually need MJ medicinally, there are a lot of MS and cancer victims out there that promote the use on youtube. Ultimately, if he stays firm about it, I wouldn't push it. Just explain to him that you don't agree with "weed makes you dumb, lol!" and go about your day.

And headaches and back aches aren't really life changing conditions, so how's that relate to a cure of life? Pretty basic shit, people without medical conditions smoke for regular pains they get. From headaches from a hangover to pulling a muscle at the gym. You were going against weed and all your arguments pretty much went against your argument. Lungs suck? Vaporize, no harm whatsoever, problem solved. He's fucking 70, he'd be getting his card, not looking for some kid with some weed. And if you knew a bit of what you're spewing out you'd know that you don't have to get high to receive the medical benefits from it. In Canada they have a spray that goes under your tongue, kicks in in 15 minutes, one spray gives you the benefits and you're no where near high. Even the most traditional ways, he could take a small hit of a joint, and If it's his first time he'll probably feel it, but if it's a really small hit, he'll feel more relaxed and relieved, not stoned, or even buzzed. I can tell you're talking out your ass, because you said "even with sativa, they still have shit to do.." I can smoke the hardest indica for a whole hour and then still function. Try not to rely on the most basic shit you know before you try and make some kind of rant.

Since when was hangovers, headaches, and a loss of appetite a complete life changer that is in need of a wonder drug?
Nobody ever said you HAVE to eat brownies man, you can put butter in almost literally anything. What "tasks" is he in charge of as a medically disabled 70 year old? Edit: Compare conventional AIDS, Cancer, Back Pain, Appetite Stimulation, and Migraine medications' side effects to those of ingesting cannabis. Thanks OP, Don't take it personally. My dad, though he's been plagued his entire life of back pain and migraines he'd rather pop tylenol and destroy his liver than listen to me about any form of alternative medicine. I've long-since given up on trying to persuade him with anecdotal evidence. Just drop a couple studies here and there. Try leaving an article with his doctors, with your grandma if she's still around, around his house, anything. Just let him discover for himself -- Hell, that's what we did. We decided to say fuck what youre telling us we're going to smoke it and decide for ourselves. They are saying fuck what you say im going to abstain and decide for myself. Two sides of the same coin That was probably poorly worded because frankly i just wake n baked some good hash but i hope the point gets across
