My seedling leaves pale yellow

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Danielsa8911, May 8, 2019.

  1. Hello guys, I’m 18 days into my grow and on 2 of leaves have turned light yellow. I feel it could be nutrient deficiency, or there was too much manure mixed with the sail. I used 25% compost and 75% timberland potting soil. I feel as if the cow manure is what is causing this. Any other ideas??? And if so how do I fix this problem?

  3. Two things jump out, roots dislike light place clear solo cups inside a colored cup, the soil is seriously lacking aeration your roots are in need of oxygen, it's also very easy to over water without adaquite aeration, are there drainage holes in your cup? I'd repot in some much better soil asap or they will likely continue to grow oh so slow... Seedlings need light airy soil, cotyledons are not true leaves and always die off,

  4. No I don’t have any holes at the cup. Rookie mistake on my part. So the main cause for them is that they’ve been constantly watered with no place to drain the excess water? So you saying I should re pot them in new soil, in a red solo cup, and water them less?

  5. What kind of soil is that? Looks like dry mud

  6. It’s timberland potting soil with some manure. It looks like that cuz I had recently put some water in it

  10. No dont transplant back into a solo cup. Put it into 1-2 gallon pot. Then transplant again into larger when time comes. Get soil designed for cannabis or at least get some perlite to combine into your mix. I'm honestly surprised the seedling made it this far

  11. Agree with after shot, find a larger container with drainage holes, buy some potting soil with plenty of aeration and transplant that girl today, roots will eventually rot from no drainage, soil goes sour (anaerobic) she must have good strong genitics to survive this long, it should explode once you repot! Good luck
