all i grow in are 5 gallon buckets from a 'competitor' home improvement place lol ... and my light source is also 400 watt MH / HPS ... I've grown this method for a couple of years now and my photoperiod plants typically reach 5+ feet (i don't top or FIM, etc) - and depending on the strain around 4-6 ounces of pure manicured buds per plant. I also use the same nutes you have there. To boot, I also add aquasheild and hydro rush which keeps the borg away. unless your buckets are molded black plastic, and I'm assuming they aren't (if home depot has molded black plastic please let me know cause lowes doesn't) - you'll need to wrap them with black plastic or something similar to keep the light out. At first I figured darker colors such as dark blue would suffice but if you peek in there by prying up the lid slightly - with your light on - you'll notice that it isn't completely dark. The black plastic will make it completely dark and you def want it black in there. Any light can cause probs. I didn't notice your air pump size but the bigger the better. If I could stand the noise I'd hook my air compressor up to mine lol. ROLLING BOIL ... make those roots dance.
