So, um, everything was going perfect, and my buds were nice, good sized and mighty hairy... then weeks went by and they stayed thin and the hairs are still long and snow white. It has been about 10 weeks and my hairs are JUST starting to tan at the tips and curl a bit... still no crystals.
And my fan leaves are starting to get stressed from the flowering, I had to cut two off yesterday because they were more brown than green. And just over the last week they have begun to curl down.
I'm using 1700 ppm ea of bc boost and bc bloom every other day. I'm using a 400w hps lite on a 12/12 schedule.
I live in the desert, and its HOT HOT HOT, and over the past week its been humid too.
HELP! I'm about to lose about a quarter of fine bud and waste months of work on this spoiled brat of a plant!

  2. Pictures?
    Exact heat?
    Exact humidity??
    Indoor grow? outdoor?
Which recipe are you using for your nutes? V1 or v2?
Be aware that some strians have white hairs all the way through! what strain is this?
have you checked for crystals with a scope?
What were you feeding them during veg?
    What food? NPK? magnesium?

Need way more info bro, this is like posting hey dudes, I have a problem ... help? lolz, what's the problem exactly?

  3. heat can cause them to keep on vegging even in a forced 12/12 room. I bet the buds r a wee bit wispy and have single leaves sticking out of them? heat and rh can really mess up bud production w/o hurting the plant in a way as to kill it.

temps must be controlled. try running lights at night if ur not already.

    peace n gl

  4. only a quarter on a plant thats been flowering for 10 weeks? somthins not rite here.. i must investigate...
whats the temp in the room?
    got any pics?

  5. You are right, hindu, the buds are wispy and have the single leaves. I like the lights on at night thing, how do I make the switchover? right now, they go on at 10 and go off at 10.
for its_420, this is my plants very 1st flowering, its only 2ft tall, I'll be lucky if I get a quarter.
for green, I'm having issues uploading pix, im on a ps3 and only certain sites will take my uploads, this site is not one of them.
I'll guess the heat at 95, my house is set to 85, and my plant corner is about 10 deg hotter.
Humidity? well its been 65% lately and it feels the same in my house ( the window is open)
    I'm using bc boost and bc bloom, 1700ppm at 1% nitrogen 4% phosphate 7% soluble potash .852% Magnesium 1.37% sulfur.0072% boron .00268% copper .024% manganese .00012% molybdene .0139% zinc
I dont know what strain, like I said, it was decent bag seed.
I dont have a scope or even a magnifying glass. I dont see any crystals with the naked eye.
during veg I was feeding them bc grow in concert with the boost

well right off the bat, if you're in soil, you're overfeeding and are probably burning the crap out of them. you should be feeding once a week or close to it. secondly, what's your ph? i don't remember seeing the ph in your post. ph is key in growing. you say your tips are brown? that's a sign of overfeeding. 1700 ppm each of boost and bloom? 3400 ppm? that's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too high. hell, 1700 ppm is high with a 400 watt light. your leaves are getting the look of a claw? that's sounds like nitrogen toxicity.

  7. ok, so should I flush the soil out? And the boost is supposed to match the ppm of the bloom, I followed the chart on the bottle. 1700ppm is the max on the charts, so maybe I'll step it down a notch. However, I have been using this same formula (up from 900ppm) since a month into my bloom ( to try to feed these skinny looking buds) and my plant has only been deteriorating for about a week now.

  8. normally i'd say flush. but a pic would really help. the instructions on the bottles are almost always too high of a ppm. remember, they want you to use it up and buy more. stupid idiots! i'd much rather have the right info. if it worked well, i'd buy more....

  9. just let the lights stay off an extra 12 hours then go 10 pm to 10am...

    i nute every watering.

i remeber someone here talking about trying to grow in 100 degrees:rolleyes:....then it happened to me(my ac went down). heat and high rh will stop a budding plant cold. i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that ppant is ascrewed. the single leaves and wispy buds will not fill in, u can let it go till what trichs have amber so it will stone ya, but the damage is done. ild say if u get the temps down u looking at a few more weeks at least for the plant to catch up. longer it satys now more apts to get mold. so keep the rh down.

    gl

  10. damn, I was worried you were going to say that. Is my plant fucked, like, gonna die? Or just my buds are ruined?

  11. it will not die until it is root bound for awhile. u can still get some smoke off it if u just get the temps down it should produce some trichs if the strain was any good.

    sorry , n gl

  12. We did smoke a little from this plant, when I cut off the tip top bud. I actually took my time to hang and cure this tiny, underdeveloped bud. But u know what? It tasted like shit but it got us hi

  13. free bud is free bud, and ur 1st is always good. uv broken one of the biggest walls u will incure in growing. u started a seed. i think thats a great step. u will suceed.

    gl:hello:

  14. I had the same problem. if urs got u high then ur better off than I was. I had 6 plants and I ended up with a QP of grass clippings pretty much. it was shitty but I learned from it.

  15. true, but i dont consider mine free, i (most likey all of us) spent money on the nutes, lights, and work.....so its not free, just pay off for trying. i had to do it my first batch....BTW good luck on ur grow (or next) cowgirl420....1 important rule for all is to learn from ur mistakes.....-baker

  16. rootbound, schmootbound, LOL! as long as all of the plants nutritional needs are met, and it's getting light, it will be fine. limiting root growth only effects plant size.

  17. the crappy taste is most likely also influenced by the high nute levels still stored in the plant... flush it for 1-2 weeks before the harvest... good luck :smoke:
