My Paintings, & Color Studies, Learning the craft

    Hey y'all.
    I'm shamelessly plugging my instagram, @elio.emmanuel.art since I don't have many following (though I have nothing so sell as of yet, so it's not a buy something plug and hopefully I can keep my dignity).

    I'm a self taught painting living in Toronto. I've studying art seriously on my own for years, drawing a lot, And started to study painting about a year ago. Many tutorials, lectures, books, articles, and ongoing hours of practice later, I'm practicing from life, something I was always super intimidated by. Here are some recent studies. And a couple more abstract things. Although I'm focusing on realism right now, I always did psychedelic, abstract stuff before.

    I thought that one of the water/rocks was a photo until I zoomed in.
