My outdoor grow this year

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by sacramentogrower, Oct 27, 2020.

  1. So this little guy, 12' tall was a leftover from 2 yrs ago when I didn't know what I was doing and had seeds for days. I threw the plants everywhere with seeds. I kept a bag full but there was at least 9 plants that had seeds.

Back to this girl, I pulled up many plants this year from wild weeds, so to speak. This one I left growing behind my dry shed. I have zero idea what stain it is, but she's still not finished yet. Cracks me up these weeds.

Can't wait to smoke it either.. zero nuts and only water out of the hose. Didn't start flowering till neighbors outside light was shut off for 4 days. Amazing. All the roots under the dry shed. Stalk is thick as fuck.

  2. BTW, this isn't my only outdoor grow. I'll throw some of those up here as soon as I can find them on my damn PC.

And these were grown just with water in the dirt no nutrients at all.

  6. IMG_1973.JPG IMG_1972(1).JPG IMG_1973 (2).JPG Since it's going to be raining here in Sacramento area at the end of the week, I'm going to be cutting this one down tomorrow. It seems like it's done and since we're in a very short light period, 10 hrs. and getting less. Seems like a good time. Any input would be great!

  7. I break the year down into 4 harvests and have for several years now.
Jan 1st = Harvest, Take cuttings for clones, Set out vegged plants in just harvested yard sites.
    March 15th = Same
    June 1st = Same
    Oct 15th = Same

The 3 off season sets all have a 10 week flower window
The mid summer set gets the 2 solid veg months of June and July, Drop into flower early Aug and flower 10 weeks. I set the fall plants out a bit late on the 24th of Oct. The Winter set is 3 inches tall and should be big enough to set out Jan 1st.
Los Angeles Basin and close to the ocean I don't have much chance of a freeze.
I've had plants finish as fast as 7 weeks for near pure Indica and endless for the high side Sativa plants. You have to call that one on your own. As long as she isn't obviously fading you can let her run. Only a frost orr freeze would force you to harvest.

I've had Sativa's from summer run past Christmas and finally took them down just because.

  8. The rain here though is what has got me concerned. Supposed to last for 7 days or so and very cold! I really don't want to chop it but it's about 12' tall and don't want it to snap off in the wind and rain. This was a freebee plant anyway, I didn't see it growing till it was about 4' high. Just let it go and got lucky with this lady. The smell is amazing, but don't know what strain it is!

  9. Ya that can be a tough call if you are predicted for lots of rain. If she is staked or caged well she'd be safe enough. An open, unsupported plant is at high risk for damage.
Been there and lost them in the rain and wind.

  13. Update, worst thing that could happen did, worms, lots of them,

I saw a few when trimming to dry, but as it did dry, more fell with webs from them.

When using a trim bag to finish the first 3 rows of 6, there they were, all up and in it.

So not to sure what is going to happen or how to proceed. I jarred two gallons + a 1 huge mason jar. Should I do the rest or just let it go? Is there anything I can do at this point since it's dried now? Not really stressing over it just want to see the best options at this moment! Thanks.
