Bro I bought a vapir one 4.0 off of eBay a while back and after using it for a few months, I sold it. I know exactly what you mean...it seems like you just can't get it to the right temp to vap it because it either start burning because of the extremely hot herb disk or you vap it lower and don't get high at all.

I wrestled with that thing using Spice and weed and could never get it to work right. Good luck though.

 

i have an Easy Vape vaporizer that i got for $80 at some sketchy smoke/porn shop/skateboard shop/rock store; bought it about a half year ago.

Directions:

1. Turn the dial to 360 degrees farenheit.
2. Take the whip and pack it with a fat pinch of your dank of choice, but not too fat.
3. Gently pack it into the bowl. Do not put whip back on.
4. Wait 5 minutes or until the plastic surface area above the hot rod sticking out is hot.
5. Put the whip on and watch the glass tube fill up with vapor while you take a steady inhale.
6. Enjoy your vape and yes, that strange metal or plastic taste will soon go away with your next 2 uses.

It takes some technique, remember long and slow hits. Do some reading online, regarding temps, etc.

I have a Vapir One that I got over two years ago. Im really fucking stoned off it right now but ill try to tell you some directions.

Directions:
Plug in machine and turn the fan knob to "high" (It should be on this setting whenever you turn it on or off, it blows I know)

Turn the vape on and set the temp to 330-360 deg F. Hit the heat button so that the light turns red then green when it is at the right temp

Grind a decent size nug and pack it loosly into the metel disk

When the light is green, put the disk in the vape

If you have bags fill them up on MED and then HIGH to cap it off and use LOW when you are changing bags or passing the hands free whip.

If you can rip a whole bag in one breath then your a hero

The best way to hit the whip is to inhale deep and slowly

You can make a longer whip by simply bringing your current whip to a hardware store and find the sillicone tubing, you can even get a T joint so you can have two people vape at the same time.

The machine is smart and will turn the heat off every ten min. When I get blasted its hard to remember to put the heat back on and sometimes it makes it seem like it is done when all you have to do it push the button again.

Note:
We call the high from the Vape the "creeper high" cause you dont really notice it at first so you think its not working then after 15 min you suddenly realize youve been staring at the wall.

 

Me and the old lady took the vape plunge a few months ago and after lots or research bought an Extreme. First time I hit it, it got me more ripped than I'd been in years and that was with the mids we keep around for cooking. After a month or so I went back to my 3 foot slide bong packed with crused ice just cause I'm in love with the high that brings...............but it's different. My wife however, is a total vape addict now who hates using anything else and just laughs at me when I overtoke and hack up a lung on the bong.........then vape for the rest of the night.
That's my round about way of saying "don't give up on the vape". One of the great things about vaping is being able to reuse the already been vaped (ABV) weed to make cannaoil or budder with. I digress again......

Try these tips: Start at a minimum temp of 365 F. For super dank herb, you may wanna let it dry a bit and don't be afraid to crank up the temp. I know one dude who keeps his set at 410 cause he likes the stone, (higher temps usually give a heavier stone)

Make sure you're using a good grinder. A good grind is important for maximizing the surface area being heated.

From what I've heard, the Vapir is a decent portable if you can get past the taste.

I have used a vapir 5.0 a couple times a day for over a year with no problems.
I would turn it up to the max 400F and see if that might help.
