Yes this isn't the type of SGW that you can just get at your local headshop, ***, etc this is a one of a kind piece made by preston himself. 14-16 slit circ...stacks that WHOLE can. also has surprisingly good flavor for the diffusion. love the work on that dome.
I like everything but the neck. That neck is hidious. Just looks like it would be easy to break but I'm sure its super sturdy. Enjoy the awesome piece.
i was actually iffy about the neck too, but it actually serves a purpose. the rig stacks so high that water goes all the way up, and it acts as a a splash gaurd essentially. it is very very thick. im not worried about it breaking at all.
Looking pretty dope, aside from the neck. I'm sure it's a good splash guard but it seems too far from the actual can.
definately dope. i agree i would of liked a standard mouthpiece but this isn't a real production line model from SGW, preston made it while teaching a lesson to another glassblower. if it was a production model im sure the mouth piece would of been something a little more like a regular bubbler.
nice, i've seen this piece laying around Preston's shop before. i'm guessing you must be local to north county area? coool piece though my man.
I use my sgw micro gear for oil I love it. Love your new pick-up aswell aside from mouth piece. Where's the milkshots buddy.
Yeah I live about 5 minutes from the shop I've sold them oil before, in oceanside the piece already took a fall on it (directly on the neck) and survived and didn't even make any sketchy noises. nice and thick.
It looks like do to the angle of the neck you are looking straight into the top of the piece. I would imagine it to be a perfect piece for dabbing.
Pieces where the angles are perfect like that are always the best. I had a pipe nothing special just a spoon but everything about it was perfect. When I put into the change pocket on a pair of jeans just the bowl stuck out and it would never slide up and out. The angle of the mouth piece to the bowl was perfect. The bowl wasn't way out in front of you and it wasn't right under your nose so you burn all your nose hair either. An ex was packing it while driving and flung it out the car window on accident while making a left turn and it skipped across the intersection and survived. Then a few years later after the intersection incident my cousin dropped it from like a foot on my driveway and it shattered. I couldn't believe what had happened as that was my very first glass piece I had ever bought and it had been with me for many years at that point. I am always looking for that perfect spoon and can never find it. The pieces now rest with my fish so I feel it is still getting some good use.
yeah that must be nice, i'm about 15 minutes from the shop out in Cbad. Preston's a great dude, fixed my girlfriends bub and threw an opal on it, done in a day. can't beat that kinda service!
