Hey everyone my names Chris and im starting on my own growing op, i have all the equipment i need 600 watt mh/hps lighting kit, a/c, fans, ventalation. the only problem im having with my little babies is that they are turning yellow/crusty, i know its from either too much nutes, overwatering, lack of something, or soil shock from transfer. im also noticing that its growing more height than yeild and branches looks like i have to "TOP" it more i think...i also dont quite understand how to get the correct PH levels and watering schedule. If someone out there could please hand me a little help on how to get my plants looking green, healthy, happy i would greatly appreciate it. this is how they look now =(. in the pics im using normal CFL lights, organic miracle grow soil, GH nutes /micro/gro/bloom.

  2. pictures would help

  3. Post some pics.

On your watering sced well its easy a idiot can do it. Pick up the pot its heavy dont water, its light time to water let it dry out some between waterings. In the morning before I put my girls to bed if there light Ill wait till the night time to water them. Its good for your plants.

Nutes you should only be nuting once every 5-7 days with your base nutes. Supplements can be used with every watering though..stuff like Cal Mag, Silica, bloom boosters etc.

PHing is easy as well. Fill your watering container with water then add nutes stir use a PH Meter pen to tell PH then adjust accordingly. Ph up to increase ph down to decrease it. Takes all but about 1 min to do.

  4. Ok I have to start over on my babies they were about 4 inches tall I spraye some organic ecosmart insect killer, after 4 hours I came back and my plants looked burnt dry and black I have no idea how this happened but I decided to start fresh again and do things all natural. I have one problem I had some lil tiny flies that started flying around in my homemade grow box and I have no idea how they got there can anyone let me know what other things I can put in the soil to prevent any insects growing in the soil. I'll post pics of my new plants tonight. I have some Deadhead OG.

  5. Im currently using general hydroponics micro/gro/bloom, how many teaspoons do I put in a gallon it says on the bottle....and when Gould I start feeding them nutes?

  6. Uusally if your growing with soil first couple weeks you dont need any nutes. Soil has everything you need.

Id start off with 30-40% of what the bottle says per gallon if thats the unit of measure. I use Advanced Nutrients and they do mililiters per liter.

After you add it ph balance it all.

I would not use nutes more then once every 5-7 days. Pick a day stick to it. Other days you water with whatever appropriate supplements and water if your using any.

    Easy :)

  7. Well 2+2 = 4. If you sprayed that stuff on your plants and they kneeled over after a few hours its most likely the spray. Because its "organic" doesn't mean shit. Organic simply means it was made from naturally occurring things vice man made. Radiation is "organic" it does occur naturally.

I myself use insecticidual Soap spray. Find that at any Walmart Home Depot etc. Now that can be sprayed directly on the plant.

Insects happen. I constantly have one or two Fungus Gnats..which is probably what you have around. Insects know where soil is and zoom to it. Probably come in when you come in the house.

Its like worms in a cat. The vet told me 1 singular flea the size of a grain of sand if the cat eats it can cause worms which live in the flea..you really cant stop that from happening now and then. Just how it is.

  8. I just read the website for that stuff you used.

It firstly requires dilution...and a fair amount. That would suggest its strong stuff. Then it says its for the following....

Lawns, Trees, Shrubs and solid surfaces.

Thats most likely what killed it. You used improper stuff. You nuked it. Id toss that stuff.

Grass is pretty sensitive stuff but it says for a entire lawn....5000 square feet you only need 3 ounces of it in a hose attachment sprayer.

    Def nuked it. Chunk it.

  9. yea i even asked the guy should i dilute it and he said it already was i didnt even bother to check...i did dispose of the bad set of plants.

  10. thanks for the recommendation, is there a particular brand you recommend?

  11. I would not use it. You dont need to worry about it right now. Get some insecticial soap. One or two gnats flying around is not the worst thing. Get a fly trap to hang it inside your grow area.

  12. There all the same.

  13. here she is Deadhead OG clones.

  16. Is it ok to leave the fan pointed at the plants at a low speed, with the a/c on in my room? The temp is around 75 in my closet and I live in Seattle do it doesn't get that humid here except in the summertime.

  17. Suggest you do some reading up. The stickies at the top of the forms and google some grow guides.
