So I decided I would post some of my favorite (new) tracks over the past months to get some input on them. These are all fairly new artists and songs, slightly above the underground and not quite in the mainstream, not that any of that matters.

I'm sure a lot of you Blades have heard these tracks, and if not, I think you are better off now. If you are a fan of hip-hop, you will probably see a few familiar faces.

What do you guys think? I'm proud to know that some real rap still exists in small gems such as these; I feel as if those who say Hip-Hop is dead simply don't care about it enough to find the right tracks, making their opinion invalid anyway. If anything you guys should check out more of The Underachievers, Hubbs, and Capital STEEZ. Also check out "Basement Ghost," a new album by producer Git that does not get nearly enough recognition as it deserves.

I'd love to discuss some of these lyrics or really anything with some Blades. One of my new favorite lines is from The Underachievers - So Devilish:

Feel free to post any music you feel is relevant or just plain fucking awesome. I'd love to discover some more artists like these.

Hope you enjoyed these tracks/artists as much as I do. I appreciate your time reading this thread. Peace. :smoke:

OT: RIP Steez, it breaks my heart that I only just got interested in your music before you passed.

  2. I'm so happy that ProEra & the BeastCoast movement as a whole has reached many ears. Shows we have some hope in the industry. INDIGOISM has came out today, I'm pretty psyched about that. Flatbush Zombies is also apart of BEASTCOAST, not sure if you heard of them yet.

  3. I have and I enjoyed lots of their tracks too.

Indigoism is actually what compelled me to post this thread, I had a couple songs I just HAD to share with somebody.

Glad to know others are enjoying these tracks. After listening to all of Steez's music and doing as much research on him as I can, watching "Free the Robots" gets me all fucking emotional and shit :/ Shits deep man, he had some real talent. I read his last twitter post a couple days ago and just got straight chills man.

Anyway, all we can do now is honor his legacy.

    Peace :smoke:

  4. As Did I. Even scoping back to his old days in the group "The 3rd Kind" & jetting through his Tumblr posts & some other shit I found. I created a thread for it somewhere

    Oh,here it is. :smoke:

  5. Steez had hella talent damn. I feel like everyone will know his name a year from now. I'm just glad we had the chance to witness at least some of his art. He won't have died a failure, I guess. Watching his videos though, man, I just want to jump in to that moment before he did anything and just listened to what he had to say and help. I guess nobody ever cuts in until its too late... I guess we could go on and on for hours about all the things that COULD have happened, but all that really matters is what did happen... Shit. I hate that all the musical artists I feel a personal connection with are dead...

On a different note, still listening to Indigoism and cant find a single fucking song on this album that I don't fucking love. The future of music man. I feel like I found Odd Future back in '08 and I just know that everybody will be listening to them in a few years.

Mad respect to all these up and coming artists in the Pro Era/BeastCoast movement. :smoke:
