  5. Your mom is the easiest woman you're going to be dealing with in this world (Unless you have certain circumstances: drugs, alcohol, etc.)

I'm adopted but the woman is still my mom and I give her all the respect I can give to someone.
Fuck I'm gonna ramble on forever.

If it's too much then ya gotta move out, if ya can't move out then ya gotta learn to deal with it. Sorry man that's about it.

  6. Yes OP I have an antagonistic mother as well...we're better "friends" now that we haven't lived together for 10+ years. It's like now she's realised that I was maybe the most tolerant person of her bullshit and I'm not around there any more. Though I've seen her continue the behaviour with others.
I don't know for sure but I think it's slightly damaged chicks (was in my mothers case) that like to play power games with men....I dare say it's ones who have at some point in their life been on the receiving end of some shitty treatment by males, and without realising it get locked into a cycle of "revenge" on the male species.
Pretty sad to see really..because I'm aware in my mothers case at least that it's only ever effected her GOOD relationships (nb - plural...they end) in a negative way.

  7. that is kind of true because my brother who was in the military...she moved in with him for a while and like he did whatever she said even though it was wrong she would say it in a way that made it sound right and i always notice and i rarely ever call her on her bs but when i do she gets all mad and starts screaming and shit so i just stay quiet and ignore.

  8. My suggestion is, nothing really - you're doing the right thing.
Don't even talk to her if she acts like that. Call her out on it if she asks why.
Then when the time comes for you to leave, watch and see, any other male will then cop it.
She'll either fix her ways or sadly, end up alone or only in the company of other women who can't handle relationships so they can bitch at the male population together.
Women do tend to have a problem with misdirection of anger.

  9. My moms been like that too. Never used to be until she hung out with some really really nasty people. I really hope she its just a phase... I miss doing stuff and hanging out with her. Now she just steals money from my little brother and blames everyone for her problems. Shits depressing...

  10. It's a women thing like everyone else has been saying, anger misdirection and what not.

Happens all the time with my mom, especially when she didn't have a boyfriend. I would always get raged at for no apparent reason or for petty things. I just laugh at her and go along with it, eventually I feel she realizes she was being a jackass and tries to make it up to me.

  11. Did you get the one how you were to blame for her relationship fails?
Not saying you did...but yeah that was always fun to hear, when myself and my sister got that line.

  12. Yeah i developed a temporary anger management problem living with my mom all day when my dad worked full time. Shes crazy and manipulative. Still, i thought my anger problem was my fault

but, since the day i moved out.. Ive never again felt mad at anything. Im calm and stress free even in tight situations

mothers can really screw you up

  13. Smoke bud bro, I garuntee it won't piss you off

  17. Thats messed up. You shouldn't take it serious because thats crappy as fuck.

Noticed at a young age that my dad figured a huge secret out.... Just shut up and ignore most of it. Its gotten really bad since she went into menapause. I'm out of the house and only come into town for a couple months. During that time I get my old room back, chill with the family, hang with old buddies.

She will still bust in my room(Literally kicking in the door like I'm building a doomsday device.) and start screaming about something. The other day she happened to hear me up around 3am the night before a Dr.'s appointment. BOOM! Door gets busted in, "Why the fuck are you up, what are you thinking?"

I just laugh and try not to argue. Because in the backround my alarm clock is set up, and my cell phone has a barrage of weird techno and Latin music set to wake me 8 hours later. Yup.... still had six to seven hours to rest before the appointment and was about to go to sleep. Best not mention that....

Its just moms being moms. You can be 40 and she'll still treat you like you are sixteen sometimes. You're always going to be her baby.

  18. Its way beyond my control... I'm not even an angry person. I'm calm and chill and never raise my voice. I can't even talk to her with out her getting mad... Shes developed a serious anger problem were she has even thrown stuff at me. She is extremely week minded and is being brainwashed by almost a cult type group and its leader... Shits crazy... At least I have my dad, brother, and dog.

Luckily my moms really chill, my dad however is the one that thinks his parenting role hasnt come to an end and nags to no end. No matter how easy going both my parents can be (especially by comparisson to some peoples parents here lol) they are still incredibly annoying to live with, its like they're the children now.

EDIT: I think your parents become more annoying as you get older as a sign its time to leave the nest. I unfortunately had to fly back to mine, hopefully for a short short SHORT period of time.

  20. Yeah, I think so too... My dad doesn't want me to move out, I'll feel kind of bad if I did...
