    Rapists get off easier than this man. What the fuck is the world coming to? He was just supplying a demand. The guy who got caught selling weed his 4th time is probably stupid, but how stupid is the judge who gave him a life sentence??

    I don't see how this can stand. Back in the 90's I believe the Supreme Court invalidate a similar law, California's Three Strikes Law (get convicted of three felonies and you get life imprisonment), because it went against the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.

    At the least, you can guarantee an appeal will be heard in this case.

    The 3 strikes law still exists in Pennsylvania. However life isn't the same as "until you die", life typically means 25+ years before you can parole, and is likely what this man received.
