My method for Guano Tea

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by gonnagrow, Jul 1, 2005.

  1. When doing soil grow, I had no trouble adding guano to the water or soil as it blended in. In hydro grow however it was fucking up my reservoirs and getting large particles clogged in my root balls . . . damn that sounds painful hehe

    My Solution:

I made a Guano Tea Bag. I took the required amount of guano (1 Tablespon) and dumped it into a small size coffee filter. I tied it up to hold the guano in, then tied the top closed and a few wraps near the bottom so I could get it back out after soaking (see pic 1)

Shook it a few times and let it sit overnight and voila . . . beautifully brewed guano tea without the dirt particles (see pic 2)

This may have been done before but I couldn't find anything on it, hopee it helps someone.

PIC 1 - Guano Tea Bag - coffee filter and fishing line

PIC 2 - Tea after sitting for 24 hours soaking, almost looks drinkable

Oh, while soaking, I hung the fishing line out of the jug and capped it so I could pull the tea bag out easily.

  2. HIGH All, yup it's what I do..but I use nylon stockings and let sit for 48 or so hours. And yes the plants seem they can't get enough.
