My little sprout and its Problem

  1. Ok well I planted a few lowryder seeds, out of 5 seeds 3 have already come up in 3 days, The problem I have is, One of the sprouts has only one Leaf. (The first 2 leafs) it looks like the other leaf was stunted or burned or something because its kinda small now. My question is: Will the plant survive with one leaf? Will it most likely become male Or hermy?

  2. There's no way of knowing if it will be male female or inbetween. Usually if it comes up a little deformed or 1 leaf it will tend to be the runt of the forest... It's won't grow as fast as the rest and may not grow at all. I usually dig these up after a week or two and try sprouting again, It's usually nothing you did wrong and is in the genetics of the seed.

  3. Yeah, i get one every once in a while. Somtimes i let them grow if i have the space. Sometimes they catch up to the others, sometimes they lag behind the others all the way through the grow.

I never had one completely die. So you may want to leave it.

  4. I had one sprout up with the seed casing still attached to the leaf. Anyone ever ran into that? It sprouted about 2-3 days after the others but now seems to be on par with them. I took the casing off a week after it sprouted and it appears fine. I would say let yours go at least another week and then decide to remove it if it hasn't progressed.

  5. Ok well I havent posted in awhile but thanks for the help, Actually the plant with one leaf is the fastest one growing lol. Also I have 4 Lowryders now and 1 on its way and 2 germinating. Im at day 8 with my little guys and they arent growing to fast but this is my first grow so im unsure, If anyone has any pics of lowryder sprouts at this age, I would appreciate if you posted them so I could compare. Also I have heard some people say its good to let the lowryder stretch a bit so it doesnt stay to small and become just one little nug. Has anyone else heard of this?

  6. Im sorry for the double post, I was looking up sprouts of Lowryder and they are much bigger then mine at day 8 the biggest I have has its second set of leafs only and is 1 1/2'' and the others are even smaller then that. Im wondering if im either overwatering or its my soil? The plants are a healthy dark green but they seem to be growing slow. I have tons of lights in there Im using CFL. I have 3 2 foot flowering flourescents (warm white) and a 1 1/2 foot enviro grow light, and 4 26 watt cfls (100 watt equivialant). Im using top choice Organic soil. The bag states its rich in organic nutrients, im not sure if this would stunt my growth. The soil looks pretty basic, theres a few bark pieces and mostly just soil.

  7. Dont water till the soil is dry 1-2ins below the top.

You may want to use blue lights until the auto-flowering kicks in.

As long as your soil isnt too dense and is free of slow release ferts, the soil is probably good.

  8. Can anyone post some sprout pics of lowryders? Somwhere around day 10? Because I have 4 lowryders and 1 is stunted because it grew in the soil, the other 3 are a good green and I see that they are growing. I am on day 10 with them and they barely have there 3rd set of leaves.
Questions: Will my stunted plant grow? It hasnt really grown since I pulled it out (Just got a dark green color) but still no second set of leaves....
Are my other three stunted? My soil is organic but it seems to have some pieces of wood in there that could make the growth of the root hard to get around....
What should I do? Can someone help me compare to relieve my mind? This is my first grow and I have learned alot from GC but to be safe and sure I want to still ask if im messing them up >.<

  9. Please help me someone, My plants for some odd reason are growing slow and I cant figure out why.......IF SOMEONE CAN PLEASE POST ME SOME LOWRYDER SPROUT PICS PLEASE. Or help me out somehow
