I woke up this morning and checked on my grow box and for some reason my lights fell down over night. In my grow box i have a pot full of soil and my seed just sprouted yesterday and it was starting to take shape but the lights crushed it. I have 6 cfls pluged into Y adaptors hooked up to a power strip and the power strip is attached to a small peice of wood, the wood has hooks on it attached to another pair of hooks in the ceiling of my grow box. The power strip is attached to the plank of wood with 2 twist ties and a bit of duct tape, i tried hard and couldnt find 2 screws with a thin enough head to fit into the screw mounts on the back of the strip. The twist ties fell out this morning and all the duct taped pealed off which is why the lights fell. Can someone please help me come up with a better way to attach the power strip?
just use more duct tape and twist ties. a lot more. try and wrap the duct tape around and not just place strips of it.
Run cable ties around the strip and the wood block, or string/rope to secure the strip to the wood block. No one should tape anything (that has weight) over anything it can fall on, cuz it will.
