  1. When I plugged my ballast into the timer my bulb fireballed and now nothing is working. I'm waiting to hear back from the company but I need a cheap fix idea to limp my plants along till its fixed

  2. Get some cfl's at least in there to lessen the shock
, I wanna hear more about this fire ball, what wattage, what brand of light etc, explosion stories need to be shared , might save someone's life

  3. That's what I was thinking too. And it's a 600 watt Vivosun jus got it like a week ago and it took me few to figure out the cheap ass timer that came with it. So when I figured it out I plugged it in and the light like fireballed and sparks went everywhere I let the shit cool down and where u screw the bulb in was black. I checked the ballast the fuse in it wasn't popped but the dam thing isn't working. So now I'm freakin out about what to do untill I get shit straight with this company. So far they are wanting to send a new bulb but that's not my problem here. I was thinking about doing a t5 since still in veg I have light fixtures but I don't know if the t5 bulbs will fit into them I gota go see what I can do about this CFL idea. Thanks for helping out

  4. Did you check the breaker box? Does the outlet work?

  5. Outlet works it never blew the breaker and the fuse inside of the ballast is still good. I'm confused I don't see what else it could be. should the ballast turn on if the light isn't plugged into it?

  6. So it's brand new, send it back. You don't want to be risking it if it's throwing sparks.

  8. Yeah sounds like you just get bad light btw I've been through allot of them even cheap ones never had that happen..... When needing electronics your bound to have mistake every so often

  9. Btw probably had nothing to do with timer sounds like s short at lamp connector

  10. I had a similar problem, minus the Sparks and fire ball. It turned out to be the cheap timer I had. I had to order a heavy duty indoor timer and that fixed it
