  1. alright so I'm 19, just graduated high school last year. I'm going to community college right now so im still living at home. recently, my stepbrother smoked legal herbs and got way too high so he called for his mom and when they tried to help him he began attacking her. they called an ambulance and took him to the hospital . at the hospital he was still to fucked up to tell them what he was on so they drug tested him, which he failed for a lot a messed up shit. after that he was sent to rehab and in the wake of it all they found out I smoke weed. keep in mind my dad and stepmom are the most brainwashed hypocrites that have ever walked the earth. they get drunk nearly every day and are completely ok with drinking but totally against weed. I have been caught many times in the past by my mom, who understands weed is not so bad of a thing. so first my dad and stepmom start saying how it's my fault my step bro is in rehab because I didn't tell them he was doing so many drugs. the thing is, I didnt even know all of it. I knew he is a dj and goes to raves and stuff so I knew he was doing the type of drugs you would do there ( think). also they printed out all this bullshit from like above the. influence so I printed out other stuff saying how the gov puts out propaganda and how weed can actually be a good thing but they still are completely against it. so pretty much, I can't even smoke anymore because I am going to be drug tested regularly and if I fail any they will stop paying for my college and take away my car (not legally mine). the worst part about it is, tonight they called the fucking cops on me saying I had drugs or something im not really sure why they showed up. so this one guy talks to me about weed and says he used to smoke and understands that it's not the worst thing in the world. the other guy searches through my room and everything and finds nothing. the whole time this guy was telling me I needed to tell him who my step bro and myself were getting our shit from, even offering me up to 500 dollars in reward money. naturally, I said I didnt know anyone, which was partially true because I have no clue where my step bro was getting his other shit from. they left, and now I'm writing this. So GC, wtf do I do.

Sounds like you should move out man. And maybe ask your step mom if your step brothers problems could be caused by her drinking and what sounds like her shitty parenting. It may seem like you are completely reliant on them funding your housing and community college (which could be true) but you have to break free! I had a similar situation and moved out right away (when i was 17). I got a job and stayed with a friend for a few months until i could support myself. I am finishing my senior year in a 4 year college and have a bit of college loans, but moving out was one of the best choices i have ever made. Not to mention the self success will be so much more satisfying! I wish you the best of luck!

  4. Move out at this point man.

But in my mind your 19, I get your in there house (as I'm in mine) but I mean really you cant just tell them to fuck off? If my parents tried to drug test me (I'm also 19) I would literally laugh in their face.

  5. humans disgust me

  6. Wow. What a story.

As hard as it is, the first thing I would do is start making serious steps towards financially severing ties with your parents. It's rough out there, but there are options. Community college will work on payment plans, and there is also FAFSA money. You could apply for a student loan, look into scholarships, etc. All of these things take work, but I think it's important. As long as you are relying on your parents, they will be controlling aspects of your life.
Make some kind of "gettin' out" plan and work hard towards getting yourself financially stable and out on your own.

Until that happens, you just gotta hang onto life by the boot strings and pray you don't fly the fuck off.

  7. Everyone talks about moving out, but you said your parents are paying for both college and your car.

A college education seems far more important to me than being able to smoke weed.

If you have to, then I would just quit smoking until you're done with college and can move out. I know it sucks, but dude... a college education isn't easy to come by these days. My own parents don't have enough money to pay for me to go to college, so I'm going to have to pay my own way when I eventually decide to do that. Which I'll have to at some point, because there's not much you can do with a high school diploma. :poke:

It's all about priorities. You're lucky that your parents are paying for your college education. Don't jeopardize that just so you can smoke weed.

  8. Thanks for the input guys. What I've decided I'm gonna do is first work towards buying my own car, and eventually transfer to a university after this year so in will not be living at home, which was my plan anyway before all of this happened. I can't pass up my parents offering to pay for my college education. I could be saving that money to buy my own place in the future. If they want to drug test me, so be it, ill be clean. I'm hoping once I move out they will stop testing me though as long as I'm not fucking around too much and getting shitty grades. (ps I already have a job I'm not a lazy fuck)

  9. Respect.

  10. step parents will always blame you for their own kids mistakes. its how it works.

why not move in with your mom or something?

  11. Just keep working and getting your own money. Keep going to school and just remember this is your brother's fault for getting himself into that shit and even going near legal buds. You are doing well and should continue to respect your parent's rules under their household.

and your life doesn't blow, your parents sound like they care about you enough to provide you a car and college payments, and they just want you to be safe and not go down the same path your brother just did.

  12. Lol I doubt they're going to test you if you're moved out

  13. I'm homeless and wake up from cold concrete each day. I go to college all day starving wondering where I can sleep that night in a safe area where I won't be robbed. I walk everywhere upon hours of no end.

My dad just died on his death bed where I didnt even get to talk to him before he left.

My ex girlfriend just told me that our daughter isnt mine and she cheated on me. She took my daughter away and I havent seen her in so long and now have to come up with money for DNA results.

I'm 101,000 dollars in debt due to my past.

    Want to trade lives?

  14. Yeah, your folks are hypocrites. But they're being super generous for paying for your college education. My mother can't afford to help me out, so while it's awesome she doesn't care I smoke, I'd way rather have her financial assistance. Still though, I'm sorry for your loss (of getting to smoke weed) :(

  15. And you afford college how....

  16. I think he meant he just goes to a college.
Lots of colleges have places that are open to the general public-- libraries, cyber cafe, stuff like that...
At least that's the impression I got from his statement.

  17. lol. The state pays for me because im broke.

  18. if you are homeless then how ru on a computer?

  19. Yeah, because cutting a check for a few thousand dollars every 3 months isn't enough of a reason to buy a $20 test kit...

Don't forget who's still paying for college. I'm certain the one writing the checks won't.

  20. I go to college.
