My leafs are looking funny?

  1. I recently found out my girls were calcium deficient about 5 days ago and the floramicro came in 2 days ago. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the leaves in my pics are like that because of the lack of calcium or if it could possibly be wind burn?

  2. Calcium. Wind burn would just make the leaves curl

  3. Thanks i changed the reservoir out 2 days ago in put foxfarm nutrients and floramicro(which has calcium) and the ppm was at 860 i checked it today and its at 645, should it be dropping that fast?

  4. Here's one another astute poster linked. It is based on soil, but has very good graphics of progression.

  5. Flora micro is designed to be used in conjunction with flora grow and/or flora bloom. I'm not sure whether it will work the same when mixed with foxfarm nutes. You would have been better off to use cal/mag or possibly tap water. Good luck and welcome to GC. :)

  6. ?
Thanks i switched out the reservoir and put tap water this time. Should the ppm be dropping about a 100 a day? And should i ads more nutes?

  7. If using a reputable commercial nute, possibly with calmag, there should be no deficiencies unless pH and/or ppm is wrong.
Over-feeding is the cause of most problems, and your slightly yellow leaf tips are an indicator that this could be happening.
These plants thrive in the wild on very little food.

860 ppm would fry my plants.

  8. Really? Thanks! I was told that in late vegetative state it needled to be between 800 and 900 ppm. What would you recommend? Also what would you recommend the ppm be at during flowering too if you dont mind me asking?

  9. Many of us use 1/4 to 1/2 of what the profit-minded manufacturers recommend.
I use dwc with highly aerated roots, and even 350 ppm hurts my plants.
My experience is that when less plant mass is being added after mid-flower, less nute mass is needed.
Reducing nutes during flower also makes flushing unnecessary.

But some of this depends on the exact setup.
