so i was talking to my grandma about politics and i mentioned my support of ron paul. she said "oh yeah ron is a great guy, would u believe he's the one who put your grandpa's fraternity pin on me in college." i was like WTF. she said he was in charge of the fraternity's musical group, which would play for the new pledge's girlfriends and give them their pins. apparently my grandpa had only joined as he was graduating so that she could get the pin, and had already left gettysburg when they were planning to give it to her, so instead he got ron paul to put it on her for him. i asked my grandpa and he confirmed the story, and added that they used to call him "ronnie paul" back then. so wierd that i never knew that before, since i've been a huge supporter and frankly a fan of dr. paul for a few years now. i knew that he went to gettysburg but never connected that my grandparents went there at the same time.
Yeah I knew them pretty well actually! That was quite the pin I put on your mother. Good times.
Yeah ok guy.

I'd like to hear more about this "Ronnie Paul" guy. I know he's all for legalization but what else is he about? I guess this is the wrong thread to ask though, lol?

He strictly obeys the constitution and our rights and hes outspoken on all the unconstituitonal things currently in action. Has been against the wars in the middleeast since the beginning. Theres alot more but yeah u get the picture. Pretty much every asshole republican rides his ass on tv in debates cuz he is an easy target since he doesnt try to sugarcoat his answers and most of his views are against all other mindless republican candidates. Any repub candidate that takes a shot at him cuz of his diff views is an idiot. He would run as an independent but he knows they never win so he joined republicans. His party doesnt like him.

He's probably the most hated politician by other politicians of both parties, and I'd say that's a positive.
Nobody with the nickname Ronnie doesn't smoke weed. You know our boy Ronnie was burning down joints like a mofo back in the day.
lol no, maybe i will though. my grandparents don't like weed though, one of their sons became gay right after blazing so they think it messes with your brain. but dr. paul has said before that he has never blazed in his life, and i don't think he would lie about it as he's a supporter of legalization. yeah it is the wrong thread, but ron paul's message is compelling enough that i'll share it anyway. basically instead of a government which can favor people by redistributing wealth and forcing people to buy healthcare, he wants the government only to protect people's rights. which means abolishing things like public schools, subsidies, welfare, unemployment, and senseless foreign wars. a federal government against foreign invaders, state governments against actual crimes like theft and assault. so of course he supports getting rid of nonsense laws like ones banning drug possession, and despite him being a born-again christian (my grandma can testify to that as well) he wholeheartedly supports the right of gays to get married if they so wish. if you want to know more about his views, see the wikipedia article on libertarianism.
