Ok, So i had a idea. If I took a zip-block freezer bag and filled the bottom with rocks (to weigh the bag down against high winds), water (to keep humidity levels high during germination). Inside the bag was of course the small pot with the seed. I did not do anything prior to the seed before planting it. Will this keep the seed safe from colder nights to? I'm in New York.
