I have a hlg 550 hanging in a gorilla 5x5. Although I don't fill the tent I only use a 4ft space to flower. Having space inside is nice.

My last run I got 0.77 gpw, a q shy of 14 oz. I grew 4 new from seed just lst and a little Supercrop'in



I know when I find a decent strain and run 4 clones from the same mother numbers will go up easy.

This run I have clones from three different mothers from my last run. I was hoping to find one to use but nothing here has stood out so i think I'll start over from seed again next grow.

I've added scrog nets too this time. Let's see if the 2 and half extra weeks in veg are worth it!

Some nets haven't filled as well as others. The laziest single pot scrogs you see, Nothing like soil2cocos lol.


They been in 12/12 for like 5/6 days. Not stretching much so I think I'll leave them from now. I'll do a final clean up once they've stopped stretching. I will leave the odd leaf under like I have now though, I like the little buffer they provide.

 

I did pay full retail unfortunately. At first I was upset I bought it. As soon as I set it up it had a few pinholes and even a tooth of the zipper missing which makes it tricky to zip up. But I put it up on my own. I guess I'll see over time. It hasn't degraded since I bought it and I've had it about 6 months now. My last was a budget tent and it had fallen apart over the year.

I'd say if you don't need to hang lots of heavy things you could do without it. But if it last three years plus then I'd count it as a good investment.

 

Thanks. I have already, it was a jungle down there a few weeks ago. I've left a handfull of fans on each to act as a buffer for any future problems that may arise.

 

I think they've not stretched as much as they would so far because it's been rather cold in the tent. This is the first time I've gone into winter with a quantum board and I hadn't checked the temps for a while. so it just needed a little adjustment.
I just turned my extractor to min and removed the bit of duct I had going from window to tent.
Temps went from 14min/22max to 16.2min/25.1 max. Wich is a better but still on the loww side for lights out.

Tops currently 3"-5", roughly 10 days 12/12

 

Got my new seeds today, lets See what I can make of this new gelato strain!

Nah went into a grow shop asked if they had any seeds, the had a few Cali connections and a few others. I picked these beauty's.

Search Cali connection gold line, you shuld be able to find some.

 

About 20 days since flip so stretch should be all but done. Tops range roughly between 4-7 inches which is not ideal.

I think for the first time I’m going to do a big trim on top too...

 

Germed 4 seeds ready to be planted before I went away for Christmas and only 2 cracked. Planted them came back germed the last 2, only one cracked! Found an old freebie from seedsman labeld mumma Mia fem so I cracked her. The gelato 78 seeds that I spent more on that I have any other and only half of them cracked! Before this I had a 100% germ record from seedsman and even the odd bag seed.

I left them in solos for longer to let the others catch up. The 78 that was a well behind caught up nicely but the mums Mia is still far behind and wasn’t ready to be transplanted.
I’ll leave em in these pots for a bit longer to let it catch up before I put them in their final.

Yh it’s what I’m thinking. Night hits 14.9, nothing I can do. It did hit 14.1 when winter first hit but I remived some duct and got it up a little.

So there all about the same size now!
I’ve transplanted into 11 ltr pots this time as I’m gonna do things a little different.
This time there gonna stay in these pots untill my flower tent is ready, then I’m gonna go to 10gals instead of 7. Also gonna add a hps or cmh to the mix!



The flower room is coming into week 9 (since flip to 12/12).
The back left that has yellowed most but getting these cool purple edges looks best so far. She must of come from a different cut than the other three.
The other three pretty much identical. At least another 2/3 weeks most probably longer judging just by the pistols. Haven’t bothered getting the scope on there yet.
Hopefully they’ll start fatening up now!

 

Its been a while! so i just read through to see where i left off.
The clones that you see that was near the end of flower turned out to be my biggest dissapointment. they didnt fill in atall! i would say that they ended up just buds of air basicly. i dried it, put it jars and i gave it away.
my conclution is that a HLG550 is not enough on its own to fill a 4x4 space. you can grow 4 nice plants in the space jus not fill it corner to corner as i tired. maybe it would have gone better if i had it in a 4x4 tent.

So what i have atm. i added a 400hps to the quantum board. its summer so ofc it brought with it unreasonable heat. its spicked at 33/34c. but one of the flaps fell shut. ive only somehow just discovered my tent does this



ive been proping it up lol. anyway it has been sitting around 30 average id say. i wanted it finshed buy now but the scrog nets took time again! today is 9 weeks its looking like itll be ready at 11.
this time im going to hang the plants whole, get some new hygromiters and cure as long as it needs. i still havent managed to figured out how to get the smell/taste to come out!

anyway here they are, the buds are all dense af this time, the hps as done its part ther atleast. i added in some bamboos today as they were starting to lean



under the hps some signs of some over worked leaves.


under the hps the 2 seems leafier. i wonder if its due to the added heat or just coincendence as their from seed.
The lights sit roughly 18-22" away from canapy & 30" from the screens. I did plan to rotate the lights but i thought the hps would stay cooler as its right next the the outake filter. I dont like glass/plastic for the hps as i think it takes too much from it.

it could be a many number of factors, one of the two plants under the qb's is even a different strain altogether. but i think you can tell in the pictures which light the plant in it is sitting under..

 

I always thought dry trimming would be more bothersome. but yeah this is how im trying it this time. ive hung the whole plant this time, stripd away all the fans i could and now give em two weeks to dry i guess.
